Turns out that the Marsascala ‘bangalow’ is Brian Tonna’s

Serendipity is a marvellous thing. I picked out four hilarious realtor videos completely at random from Daforte’s YouTube channel and uploaded them in a post. Somebody then emailed me out of the blue to say that, hey, the Marsascala ‘bangalow’ is actually Brian Tonna’s, and that he recognised it because he’d been there a few times. Why, look, the video even shows (briefly), Nexia BT’s basement level offices in the ‘bangalow’ – the ones they used right up until their move around three years ago to the Capital Business Centre in San Gwann, in anticipation of the bonanza of business flowing their way from that desk in the Office of the Prime Minister.

This was the marital home. There has since been an acrimonious split from his wife, Caroline (a very nice woman, as I recall, from more than two decades ago when I knew her as the editor of Elegance magazine), who will probably find that he has hidden a rather large amount from her in a secret trust just like those he has set up for his famous PEP clients. Mrs Tonna is now living with their children in a luxury flat in Ta’ Xbiex where he pays the rent, while Tonna lives elsewhere with his girlfriend, also called Caroline.

Meanwhile, he has rather tastelessly allowed Daforte realtors to create a public video-tour of every nook and cranny of what used to be his family home, which he has put up for sale.
