I don’t suppose it’s a mystery to anybody at all (probably not even the men in question) how women on the make extract a living from men old enough to be their father or grandfather, who are also incredibly ugly, stingy and unfit.

They just have to be prepared to do it. I suppose some women think it beats working for a living, or maybe they see crawling to a creep in exchange for being kept as just another kind of paid job, which is the pragmatic way of looking at things if you’re that sort of woman.

In any case, really – look at all those other people crawling to the new Minister for Gambling and Casinos along with his imported Romanian missus, to whom he granted Maltese citizenship when he was Minister of the Interior. Too many people in this country need to have their head examined.

Beloved husband, my eye – the man didn’t even pay for her confinement at a private hospital when she was pregnant with his twins before he married her. He sent her to a state hospital, thinking he wouldn’t have to pay the bill, and when the Department of Health billed her as a Romanian citizen who wasn’t married to a Maltese, he refused to pay it and she didn’t either.

The Department of Health was still chasing them through the courts for the money until last year, even slapping a garnishee order on Mrs Mallia’s bank accounts while her husband was a minister, but there wasn’t enough money there and STILL her beloved husband didn’t save her from the hassle by just reaching for a pen and writing out a ruddy cheque. Go to work, girl – you’ll be a lot better off.
