The Prime Minister is making a point of leaving the room every time an Opposition MP rises to speak

He then returns to listen to the response from his MP and pops out again for the duration when another Opposition MP rises to speak. He has made an exception only for the Opposition leader, because he has to. The Prime Minister can’t walk out when the Opposition leader rises to speak because that’s a whole other kind of statement.
