The Prime Minister’s chief of staff has called me “certain bloggers who have no journalistic integrity”

That man Keith Schembri, the Prime Minister’s chief of staff, certainly has some nerve.

He goes about the world’s creepiest offshore jurisdictions, setting up secret companies and concealing his ownership behind layers of secrecy and nominees. And to do that, he uses the services of the auditor – another corrupt man – who certifies his Malta businesses as clean, a clear case of serious malpractice.

He funnels money through those offshore companies while declaring losses in his Malta-registered businesses which owe up to 12 million euros to HSBC and the Bank of Valletta in loans and overdrafts, much of that secured by a personal guarantee. This when most of his money is hidden offshore and the banks in Malta can’t find it to get at it if and when they foreclose or his loss-registering businesses, which appear to be little more than money-laundering operations for some real business which is illegal, go bust.

He corrupts the chairman of the Times of Malta publishing group and sets up (yet another) secret company with him in Cyprus. And because he is in a position to blackmail the newspaper group chairman completely, he gains effective backroom control of the newspaper group.

And then he accuses ME of having no integrity. The Prime Minister’s crooked chief of staff should be taken out and shot.

He’s just another criminal from the Bormla underworld, who put on a false front, bought the right people in all the right institutions – quite frankly, I think he may even have bought individuals at the banks and they had best begin running some checks – smarmed up to the weaker and more corruptible members of the media, joined the Labour Party and somehow clawed his way into the top position, pulling the prime minister’s strings (probably because he’s corrupted him too).

And then he says he’s nothing like his fugitive cousin Ryan Schembri of More supermarkets, now living in Dubai where the banks and the creditors he defrauded of millions can’t find him. Yes, of course he’s different. He’s slicker, and he works for Joseph Muscat. Or given what it now looks like, Joseph Muscat works for him.

What a bunch of crooks. The sooner Malta is rid of them, the better. The country has been taken over by the criminal underworld.

Just another crook from Bormla – but a crook from Bormla with secret offshore companies in the British Virgin Islands, Panama, Gibraltar and Cyprus. And the Prime Minister would have us believe that this man, his chief of staff, is not laundering money.
