Prime Minister just now: “Keith Schembri and I broke the Nationalist Party’s 25-year monopoly on power”

There you have it: it’s a partnership. It’s the first time that the Prime Minister has openly admitted to his tight collaboration with Schembri and his dependence on him.
And once more, he lies – unless he has lost his abacus. It was 14 years and five months, from September 1998, and not 25 years. He’s the last man who should have been unable to work that out, because he fought the 1998 general election tacked to Alfred Sant’s coat-tails as a Super One reporter.
