Here’s a little idea from Baku that Joseph Muscat, Konrad Mizzi and Keith Schembri might want to try

President Aliyev, the Azerbaijani dictator, is holding a referendum on extending his term in office. That way, when the rigged election’s outcome is made public, he can claim to be in power by the will of the people as democratically expressed in a referendum.

I’m surprised that Aliyev’s tools in Malta – Konrad Mizzi, Joseph Muscat and Keith Schembri (in no particular order) – have not thought of this yet. Or perhaps they have, and are working on how to make it happen.
