Stupidity and malice are the most malign combination of characteristics
That’s right, Mr Bedingfield. Yana is not Diana. Yana Mintoff Bland is a public person, a politician who stood for the last general election on the Labour Party ticket, a consultant (on poverty) to the Prime Minister, and a public presence, of her own volition, on multiple media platforms.
And either she or her son tried to kill her boyfriend by stabbing him in the abdomen, which put him in intensive care at the state hospital for days. He is still not out of hospital.
Diana Bajada is a completely private person, so much so that not even I knew of her existence until you began writing about her with the sole purpose of humiliating and embarrassing her brother, the Opposition leader. Her marital problems, and the psychological difficulties and domestic distress that grew from them, are absolutely nobody’s business but her family’s.
The fact that her brother is the Opposition leader does not make her a public person or give you, me or anyone else the right to invade her privacy and expose her personal problems to everyone. This behaviour is all the more disgraceful because you are an aide to the Prime Minister.
Mrs Bajada does not play any role in politics. She does not campaign for her brother, is never seen in public with him, and is never photographed with him at public events. She is completely private.
The Prime Minister has no siblings, which makes both you and he confident in your assaults on the Opposition leader’s sibling. But if Muscat did have a sister, nobody would dream of persecuting her or mocking her, or discussing her marital problems and her psychological difficulties, just to get at him. That is one of the key differences between the Labour Party and everyone else.
It was apparent from your descriptions of Mrs Bajada’s behaviour that she was suffering from a psychotic breakdown as the result of the stress from the collapse of her marriage. This would have been obvious to any sensible person with the merest modicum of intelligence and understanding of human nature. It was probably even obvious to you, because you too had a breakdown after discovering your wife in bed with the police constable for whom she left you, and so you should have been compassionate and not malicious.
You are an extremely public figure who lies about me and slanders me routinely, but did I ever discuss your story with my readers? No, I did not – because I don’t have a Labour mindset. I mention it now only because I can’t stand your malicious hypocrisy and lack of compassion for a private person who is suffering a psychological breakdown.
Oh, and Mrs Bajada did not stab anybody, almost kill them, and put them in intensive care after an operation to save their life and repair their ruptured organs. That’s another reason why your comparison is so false.
You should be ashamed of yourself, but nobody in Muscat’s party ever is.
I am also left with the unavoidable impression that you are actually enthralled by the Opposition leader’s very attractive sister in much the same way that you are by David Thake’s rather stunning daughter, and the fact that Miss Thake is young enough to be your own daughter does not prevent you from making salacious remarks about her like a disgusting old (and obese) pervert.
Your fascination with the women you write about is quite obviously sexual, but you imagine that nobody notices. You have illustrated your post with a fetching photograph of Mrs Bajada, and not with one of Mrs Mintoff Bland.
It can’t be easy, being single for so long after your wife cheated on you and left you for an aesthetically challenged policeman (not even for an attractive one), but if you were to slim down a little, you might find it easier to play the field with real women who are accessible, and not have to be restricted to fantasising about Mrs Bajada, Miss Thake or the size of my secondary sexual characteristics which you constantly analyse in detail in what is clearly a perverted obsession. Aren’t you embarrassed to do that, in your position in the Prime Minister’s Office? Aren’t you concerned that you’re embarrassing him?
But the worst of it all is the craziness of a situation in which an aide to the Prime Minister behaves like this and weird Malta treats it an unexceptional, while the non-Maltese have their eyes out on stalks.
I could add that you are seriously irresponsible, because when private citizens who are suffering from a breakdown are exposed by a prime minister’s aide to a violently-minded ignorant public who are encouraged to make fun of them, their mental state deteriorates further and they may be driven into the darker parts of the abyss, with terrible consequences.
What can I say? Your behaviour is disgusting. But then you work for Joseph Muscat, and that is why he chose you.
