Is this a great metaphor for what we’re going through right now, or what?

You remember the joy with which you opened your new poster paints or box of water-colours, put your favourite stencil from your birthday set down on your spanking clean drawing-book (big, bright white page) and carefully filled in every last gap, easing off the stencil and glowing with pride and satisfaction – only to have your sister say, “You put the stencil down the wrong way, idiot.”

Well, somebody did just that this morning in Rabat, and because nobody pointed out – to what was clearly an illiterate gang of workers – that they had got the stencil down the wrong way, they just kept going. And then they drove off.
