They’re trying to sell Air Malta to China

It-Torca, the rabidly pro-Labour-government Sunday newspaper owned by the General Workers Union, today published a big story saying that the government is looking to Air China as a “strategic partner” for Air Malta.

The newspaper also reported that ED ZL, the Tourism Minister, would “neither confirm nor deny” this. Which means that he confirms it, and probably leaked the story too – which is why It-Torca had it.

This is old news – selling Air Malta to Air China was their plan all along. I had broken the story two years ago, and ED ZL immediately rushed to diss it.
