“Ftakar f’Owen il-Ministru meta tivvota”

An acquaintance who works in fiduciary services, and who was registered with Identity Malta as an agent for the sale of citizenship programme, tells me that she has just received a telephone call from the people at “Il-Ministeru ta’ Owen”, asking her whether she “wants anything” and if she perhaps would like the cabinet minister’s personal number so as to talk to him directly.

She replied that she needs or wants no such thing, and the person at the other end of the line rang off with, “Mela kemm ngħidlek biex tiftakar fiħ meta tiġi l-elezzjoni ta, ħi.”

How sleazy all this is.
