The tables have been turned on Muscat, and he can’t handle it
I meant to post this on Friday, after watching Xarabank, but somehow did not. Watching the way Muscat couldn’t control his anger and resentment, it dawned on me that he’s almost less bothered by the fact that he could lose the general election than he is by the fact that the tables have been turned on him and he has been outfoxed.
For the nine years since he became Labour leader, he has become so accustomed to being the one who undoes others that it is the most massive blow to his sociopathic ego to find himself undone and outsmarted.
That is the simmering rage I see – rage that others have got the better of him. The Prime Minister of a European Union member state, shouting “Chicken! You’re a chicken!” at the Opposition leader live on prime-time television, and saying that his rival has “sweaty hands” – is this what we have come to?
