Let’s state the obvious, shall we?

John Dalli’s fraudster client

The only newspaper which John Dalli trusts is Malta Today. If he is not giving them access to the fraudster Eloise Marie Corbin aka Mary Swan, then there must be a reason.

Why hasn’t ‘Mary Swan’ come forward herself to clear her name, justify her position, and above all, stand shoulder to shoulder with John Dalli instead of leaving him to face the music alone?

He’s her business consultant, after all. He put himself out for her by leaving an EU meeting without permission to fly all all the way from Cyprus to the Bahamas and back again in 48 hours. A journey like that can kill a man his age, but he did it for her.

And now she won’t even speak to the press to back him up?

Tsk tsk tsk.

I have her mobile telephone number, but she either doesn’t pick up, or she answers and then hits the red button. And nobody answers the doorbell at flat 4, 58 High Street, Sliema, the address where this ‘millionairess’ is living.

If Eloise Marie Corbin aka Mary Swan isn’t giving exclusive interviews to Malta Today, it’s because John Dalli doesn’t want her to, or because she can’t do so without incriminating herself or bringing herself to the notice of people who are after her.

She would have hoped to be invisible while operating in Malta – bad luck, then, that she chose to embroil herself with a European Commissioner about to hit a concrete wall of scandal and a forced resignation. But maybe he was the only one prepared to do what she wants him to do.

    And why is The Times not doing its national interest duty and chasing after her for an interview?

    Or Super One maybe? She can also be invited to TX, Bla Agenda, Bla Sustanza and Affari Taghna, Affari Taghhom jew Affari Taghha…

      I understand she’ll be appearing on Dr John’s programme.

      You know – what with her being a Christian evangelical philanthropist.

      The Dalli family have been given a slot as well.

  2. SC says:

    Have the ports and airports been alerted to stop her leaving on false papers/passports again?

    • La Redoute says:

      Too late, I imagine. And who’s to say she doesn’t have ANOTHER false passport (or several) in a totally different name?

      • Josette says:

        Wouldn’t a passport, which, like this one, runs from the 23 February 2006 normally be valid until the 22 February (2011) rather than, as in this case, the 23 February?

      • La Redoute says:

        Someone who uses a fake passport would not have just one, but several.

  3. ciccio says:

    But why are we surprised that Malta Today is covering up essential facts?

    Have we not noticed how Malta Today throws Matthew Vella in front every time they want to cover up some important facts which have already been published elsewhere?

    “She would have hoped to be invisible while operating in Malta”

    I do not agree at all.

    I think that she was guaranteed by someone at the highest echelons of power (I wonder who, cough cough), that she would be made invisible and untouchable.

    Looks like it’s working so far.

    • Volley says:

      Invisible- no, Untouchable-maybe yes

      If that woman (Eloise Marie Corbin aka Mary Swan etc.) is being protected by some very influential dude, it is a criminal offence. If that is the case, whoever is responsible should be held accountable.

      This also confirms that someone in the PN should submit a motion to the executive and have John Dalli expelled from the party. This is doing the PN untold political damage from which it will never recover or gain any credibility.

      Should this John Dalli charade continue, the membership should express their disgust and demand John Dalli’s expulsion from the party. After all, he is now in the clutches of the PL. That’s where his loyalties are. He sold out his Christian Democratic values to save his skin. What a disgrace to Malta and the PN. This has to stop.

  5. where are we? says:

    If she is wanted in the US, then I am sure the American Embassy here can say something about dragging here there by way of extradition

  6. Min Jaf says:

    In the face of all these revelations:

    Dalli has the effrontery to call in the media and reiterate that he is involved in voluntarily assisting a CHARITY organization;

    Prime Minister Joseph Muscat issues no statement about his justification for not retracting Dalli’s appointment in reforming the Health sector, despite the scandal that has come to light;

    Prime Minister Joseph Muscat is actively dodging journalists for fear of being confronted by specific questions on the matter;

    The press continues to ignore the information published in ths blog about Mary Swann;

    The PN, as a party and as parliamentary opposition, has shown itself to be totally incapable of putting up an effective reaction to the scandal that, through Dalli’s direct involvement in government and with Mary Swann, has a direct bearing on public funds. Which leads one to ask what it is that it is holding back the PN and the Opposition from doing so?

  7. Natalie says:

    My bet is she left the country a few days ago when her name started appearing on this website. We already know that she has access to a private jet and a number of false passports.

  9. zunzana says:

    I think the opposition is giving the protagonists in this scam more rope to hang themselves, in the end.

  10. George says:

    Why in the first instance hasn’t she been arrested and accused of entering Malta using a false passport?

  11. Pluribus says:

    Dear Daphne to tell the truth I feel she has already left Malta. Can anyone check and keep the people informed?
