PC533 Paul Sheehan, 40, Manuel Mallia’s (ex) driver has just been involved in some kind of fight at his mother’s home, which is also his registered address, in Nicolas Cottoner Street in Gzira.

The fight broke out soon after several police officers, accompanied by a magistrate, arrived at the house.

Paul Sheehan’s older brother Patrick, 47, whose registered address is also his mother’s house, at some point entered that house in a rage, followed in close order by Paul. The sounds of a brawl and breaking objects then emerged from the house.

Their mother Giovanna sive Joanne Sheehan, 66, rang for an ambulance.

    This is absolutely disgusting.

Since when do police officers descend on people to arrest them because the Nationalist Party holds a press conference? Things are really becoming surreal.

”… it was believed that police officers had descended to his place to pick Sheehan up after the Nationalist Party this afternoon held a press conference announcing that Sheehan was to be arraigned.”

Was Sheehan not supposed to be arraigned today on charges of attempted murder?

Too busy brawling and no time to appear in court?

  7. Mila says:

”Mr Sheehan’s brother was seen to be angry as he entered the house, followed by Mr Sheehan. A commotion was heard, with several items being broken.”

Minister Mallia gets the prize for being a great judge of character. Great screening of talent.

Can we expect similar in the screening of passport applicants? He’s in charge of that too, remember.

This incident would not have happened if Joseph Muscat had seen to the timely arrest of this man.

How on earth is this man still on the loose? This is what happens when you lock up the victim rather than the perpetrator of a crime.

Chest Pains, eh? Next stop Mount Carmel hospital where he will start to recite the rosary five times a day after an epiphany in which he discovers Jesus.

  12. P Shaw says:

Joanne Sheehan became a mother at the age of 19.

[Daphne – So what? I became a mother at 20. It was normal, you know. Becoming a mother in your 30s or 40s is not. What a prejudiced comment. Criticise her for her child-rearing skills, by all means, but not for having a baby at 19 in 1967 when it was par for the course right across the social spectrum everywhere in the world.]

    • Attakk fahxi u sessista fuq il- (yeh you get it...)) says:

If you ask any honest doctor he will tell you that child birth after the age of 25 is more risky. This is just a biological fact. Yes, granted, it is very common these days to have healthy children up to and beyond the age of 40, but nothing will change the fact that it remains risky.

What we are not told is how complicated conception becomes with age. Of course it is taboo these days to even mention this basic fact. It would go against many agendas to do so.

Conclusion: I too think it is irrelevant that this lady had a child at the age of 19. If anything, good on her.

You know that geeks’ favourite about how monkeys bashing away at typewriters an infinite number of times would eventually write the complete works of Shakespeare?

Ours have been at it for just fifty years and they’ve produced the entire script of the complete mobster collection plus sequels. Amazing.

    All that Red Bull drinking.

Told you he would not be around for too long.

    Guaranteed.

If you drink too much Red Bull you become too hyper.

Plus if you are put in high stress situation it could lead to a heart attack. Sheehan is 40 not 20.

      Thanks for the info

    • ken il malti says:

Poor Paul, he spent all morning reading the comments on this blog site over and over while sipping Red Bull in a tea cup.

Then a gaggle of policemen showed up at his door to compound things even more.

The unfortunate guy now needs a shot of whisky to calm his nerves.

The jury is still out on that one, where one lives and where one is registered can be a bit tricky when one wants to milk the system to the last drop. Who knows what the facts are in this case?

[Daphne – Yes, after all Manuel Mallia is registered as living in a villa in Ta’ Cenc, Gozo, to save on the ferry fares, when we all know that his actual home overlooks Hastings garden in Valletta.]

  24. Persil says:

Poor mother. I pity her. She must be passing through hell.

  25. Neil says:

Daphne, in Fat Leli’s mind, you are on par with a Minister, nay, a Prime Minister, or even the President of Malta. I know you’re a humble person, but I suggest you immediately send him a letter of thanks, and a kaxxa pasti from Cordina, straight to the Palace. Immediately!

  31. M. says:

Lovely babysitting environment Minister Mallia used for his daughter! If he’s not careful about who he leaves his very young daughter with, then we shouldn’t really be surprised about who he has chosen (or accepted) as his driver.

  32. Tabatha White says:

Does he have Police detail outside his hospital door?
