An update on what our Chinese Communist friends are up to now

China’s education minister, Yuan Guiren, has said that the country’s universities must prevent criticism of China’s political system, the Chinese Communist Party and its officials.

They should also shun textbooks which promote Western values, he said.

He was speaking at a forum on education, and his speech was reported by the Chinese state news agency, Xinhua.
