This blog is now 10 months old, having started one week before the general election last March. Since then, we have moderated and uploaded 19,450 comments from readers. It’s been quite a demanding leisure-time pursuit, but I somehow can’t see myself playing golf or bridge, so I’m going to carry on.

Thank you, Daphne. Through your excellent on-line discussion forum I quickly and accurately learned what was going on in Malta.

    I admire your courage.

Congratulations for your initiative. The reaction of users is really impressive; visits must be much and much more. It is not an easy task for yourself, definitely, but looking back it gives a feeling of self satisfaction. All fair-minded opinions, whatever they are, represent a valid contribution to exchange and discuss different current issues being part of our dynamic society. Happy New Year to you and yours.

@ Ken from the Netherlands – if you want to learn what is going on in Malta this blog is what you need to avoid. If, however, you’re into twisted allegories keep visiting.

[Daphne – Looks like you’ve got your gerbil in a twist again.]

[It’s been quite a demanding leisure-time pursuit, but I somehow can’t see myself playing golf or bridge, so I’m going to carry on].
Bridge is an excellent exercise with respect to so-called brain jogging.

Playing bridge against one’s computer is a wonderful “demanding leisure-time pursuit” while enjoying a good post-breakfast or post-lunch cigar with an occasional visit to this site.

Best Wishes for the New Year to all cyber freaks and to all cyber geeks.

Carry on Daphne. I, like many others, like your pen!
    Happy New Year to all

I love this column. It certainly gives a certain perspective of life in Malta.

I never miss your contributions. They are so straight to the point, intelligent and sincere.

I must confess that I do not always agree with some of view-points, but 98 out of 100, I do.

Keep going and a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR.

    AJA.

    Gerbil?!

[Daphne – Haven’t you heard? Kev has one, famously.]

Kev – “If, however, you’re into twisted allegories keep visiting.”

So I take it that you are, then (“into twisted allegories”, I mean).

  14. Lorna says:

Dear Daphne, I’m glad you will.

Happy new year to you and all your readers.

Running Commentary might soon be possibly more frequented than il-pjazza.com aka former x.com aka former xarabank.com.

    @ Sybil

Skuzani, from some of your posts, I was under the impression that you could be one of those.
