Another lie from FAA – or maybe it was just a mistake?

Flimkien Ghal Ambjent Ahjar claims that the St John’s Co-Cathedral Foundation was not entitled to apply for works beneath the square because it does not own the land.

What a pity Peter Gatt’s research did not extend beyond geology! The foundation is made up of representatives of the state and of the Catholic Church. The land which comprises the square was requisitioned from those whose houses once stood there, and who still owned the land on which they stood. The requisition order was formalised fairly recently, and the land has yet to be paid for, but the fact remains that it is now officially state property.
