Here’s another of those tedious English people who fall well within my category of Bloody Foreigners, writing to the newspapers to tick off the local peasants for importing wogs into the mix of wops and dagoes, thereby spoiling her plans for a wog-free retirement.

When summer comes…
by Pamela CrawfordI do not care what colour or creed illegal immigrants are. They come on little boats packed like sardines as the pictures in the newspapers show. They look clean and healthy. Now I might be wrong but am I the only person who does not believe this for one second?
Now let us get to the nitty gritty; they don’t want to be here. I am sure most Maltese do not want them on their small island either. I moved to your island to retire in peace. I do not expect to be kept by your country. It was a good place to live, one could walk the streets day or night and not feel intimidated; now even the elderly Maltese say they don’t feel safe any more.
So why are they not up in arms about it? Can someone please explain how these people get the money first to get on the boat they are on – if their own country is so terrible, how come they have that sort of money. Once here they can send money back to their families. Yes, I have stood behind them while they are doing it via Western Union. How come they all have mobile phones, and not cheap ones, always talking on them, and they are dressed well?
What right have they got to cause trouble, burn mattresses etc. The EU has a lot to answer for, never mind human rights, what about mine and those of the people of Malta, who were born here. Or don’t we have any?
Oh, just one more thing, they get a gift of EUR5,000 and a free flight to their own country from here. No wonder they are coming in by the hundreds. God help us all when the summer months arrive.

Did I read that correctly? Were ‘they’ burning mattresses at Western Union’s offices, at the instigation of the EU of which Pamela Crawford is herself a citizen?
In other words if she wanted what Malta is becoming now she’d have moved to Johannesburg… Bloody Africans are ruining it all for her! How these people feel so threatened by a minority of people who are of a different skin colour is beyond me. Clearly they have never felt what it’s like to be discriminated against because they’ve had it easy being part of the white well-off majority.
[Daphne – Not necessarily. Those who feel discriminated against or ‘oppressed’ are often the most eager to have a go at it and discriminate against others or fear them. Hence the vast well of racist mutterings among socio-economic group DE.]

Jon Mallia: The poor woman doesn’t realise that if we “never mind human rights” she’d lose hers too.
Hell, I’d go out and get maself one of them shot guns!
What makes her think we’re happy to have her here. I hope I never come across her anywhere on my island. I’m reminded of the signs up on Labour Party clubs in the 1970s that said “English go home”.
I recieved this disgusting email today. How some people hate others and say that they are Christians is beyond me. I shall never delete this email. I will keep it, so that it reminds me to pray for the people who send me this email, before they go to burn in Hell:

This was his defense speech in court after making racial comments in his comedy act. He makes some very interesting points…
Someone finally said it. H ow many are actually paying attention to this? There are African Americans, Mexican Americans, Asian Americans, Arab Americans, etc.
And then there are just Americans. You pass me on the street and sneer in my direction. You call me ‘White boy,’ ‘Cracker,’ ‘Honkey,’ ‘Whitey,’ ‘Caveman’… and that’s OK.

We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a Black Chamber of Commerce, and then we just have the plain Chamber of Commerce. Wonder who pays for that??
A white woman could not be in the Miss Black American pageant, but any color can be in the Miss America pageant.
If we had a college fund that only gave white students scholarships… You know we’d be racists.
There are over 60 openly proclaimed Black Colleges in the US . Yet if there were ‘White colleges’, that would be a racist college.
In the Million Man March, you believed that you were marching for your race and rights. If we marched for our race and rights, you would call us racists. You are proud to be black, brown, yellow and orange, and you’re not afraid to announce it. But when we announce our white pride, you call us racists.
You rob us, carjack us, and shoot at us. But, when a white police officer shoots a black gang member or beats up a black drug dealer running from the law and posing a threat to society, you call him a racist.
I am proud… But you call me a racist.
Why is it that only whites can be racists??

Rafa Benitez flies to Baghdad to watch a young Iraqi play football and is impressed and arranges for him to come over to England. Two weeks later Liverpool are 2-0 down to Chelsea with only 20 minutes left. The manager gives the young Iraqi striker the nod and on he goes. The lad is a sensation – he scores a hat-trick in 20 minutes and wins the game for the reds! The fans are delighted, the players and coaches are delighted and the media love the new star. When the player comes off the pitch he phones his mum to tell her about his first day in English football.

“Wonderful?! ” says his mum, “Let me tell you about my day. Your father got shot and robbed in the street, your sister and I were ambushed, gang raped and beaten and your brother has been kidnapped by masked men, all while you were having such a wonderful time.”
The young lad is very upset, “What can I say mum, but I’m so sorry.”
“Sorry? Sorry?” says his mum, “It’s your bloody fault we moved to Liverpool in the first place!”
But this is absurd. How many illegal immigrants are you sheltering in your cosy homes? Calling others ‘racist’ when even you yourselves do not want to mix with the ‘other Maltese’. That truly is ‘racist’. We pertain to the majority of Maltese citizens who logically are trying to open the government’s eyes that illegal immigration and its problems are draining us of our hard-earned cash and funds supposedly for the Maltese nation and not for foreigners. It is discriminating against us Maltese citizens in health services, etc. Do you know that in 2008 alone, some EUR5 million were spent on illegal immigrants, without adding to that amount the tenders for breakfast, dinner, and supper for Third Country nationals, mattresses, beds and linen (so that the Tunisians will make a BBQ out of them), underwear, and raincoats for illegal immigrants. If you think this is an exaggeration, browse through The Government Gazette and see for yourselves the AFM tenders for the last month.
[Daphne – Do you know how much money ‘foreigners’ give Malta? All those EU funds we get come off the backs of tax-payers in other EU member states. Why should anyone shelter illegal immigrants or anyone else for that matter? You might as well argue that we should take in old people so that the government can close down old people’s homes. Have you heard of the welfare state, or is this a new concept to you? Charity is no substitute for state-provided services, the reason why we pay taxes. It is complementary. You may be surprised to know that there is a loosely organised network of people who buy bedding and collect clothing for people living in the detention camps.]

EUR5 million upsets you? That’s a pitiful sum. In Sweden, expenditure on immigrants (first generation only) reaches over EUR700 million a year. True, Sweden has about 20 times the population Malta does, but that still equates to about seven times the expenditure per capita. A big part of my former tax money went to that, just as another part of it went to supply net receivers in the EU, such as Malta. Do you see Swedes running up stupid comments on online newspapers because they have to pay for Maltese roads? Do you think people in Sweden grouse about the ingratitude shown by the Maltese when Swedish tax-payers stand to pay a part of the EUR14 million estimated for an underground museum and this is rejected?
Sweden is considered a nation of whiners, which is true, but I somehow suspect we have met our match.
