Tigers in Africa
A racist called Victor Vella – make that victor vella – posted yet another rabble-rousing comment on timesofmalta.com:
I do not want to play the prophet, but one of these days a soldier or a police man is going to get seriouly hurt and there would be trouble. I pray to the dear Lord that such a day does not come. We are surrounded by these people and for them the rule of the law evaporates far too quickly. These people are in their majority coming from underdeveloped nations and we have all witnessed what they are capable of doing when thier fighting spirit is aroused. One note of advice, these people are used to being in fear of attacke iether from wild animals (some of them actually come from villages where it is not uncommon to see a tiger lurking around) or from persecution squads – so beware they are very quick and witty when it comes to self defence. Also most of them have an inbred hate for soldiers and policmen as in thier country they are treated worse then animals by thier security forces.
Somebody I know posted a reply: Mr Vella, there are no tigers in Africa. It wasn’t published. Perhaps the moderator is checking with the World Wildlife Fund even as we speak.

You`ve got to hand it to these Africans though. They have s real sense of humour, even in the face of adversity. The ability to be “witty” even when you are defending yourself against physical harm is something that I thought only existed in James Bond movies.
Perhaps it’s from the zoo, like Monty Python’s penguin.
I stopped reading reader’s comments on timesofmalta.com. Most ‘keyboard warriors’ don’t know what they are talking about. About a week ago there was one who misunderstood a news article and interpreted it as if 50% of illegal immigrants in Malta are HIV positive. I don’t know why timesofmalta.com does not stop this feature on their site. It is not giving a good impression of Malta to the outside world.
