I’m trying very hard not to think of the shapes or forms in which John Dalli could have, conceivably, requested the departure of Mrs Micallef. But you know how it is with these things: images come unbidden to mind.

i will say it again.i was in the middle of a four year contract and chose to leave.there was never any indication i would not stay on as chairman IF i wanted to.minister dalli can confirm,he did not ask me to leave in any way shape or form and my leaving had nothing to do with him. it was my choice and for good reasons which i do not need to make public. to leave after 10 years responsibly chairing an entity seems to me to be a healthy thing to do
