A prize for those who can spot a zaghzugh in this picture

This protest rally photograph might be too small for you to see the detail, but save it to your documents folder and enlarge it if your eyesight, like mine, is not that great.
That’s what I did in my attempts at spotting a zaghzugh. Why, I couldn’t even spot Stacy Bartolo or Randolph Debattista.
The first prize is a cruise kindly offered by Hamilton Travel. The second prize is Sunday lunch with John Bundy and Consuelo Herrera. And if you’re really lucky, Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando might drop in.
The third prize is dinner with John Dalli and a suicide pill for that moment, just after the second course, when you want to top yourself.

I know exactly where our ‘zghazagh’ were last Friday:
http://www.youtube.com/watchv=71c1ydrwFqM&feature=related
Under the O of JoSEPH, bottom of the photo, wearing glasses …. surrounded by a hundred old fogeys, and scared out of his wits.
Why would the zghazagh be with Joseph?
It was Lawrence Gonzi (and Eddie before him) who provided for their education, stipends and work opportunities.
ur serious?? jiena zaghzugha u nista nassigurak li ma joseph bhal hafna ohrajn. Kieku kien ghal gvern nazzjonalista t tfal tas sinjuri biss kienu jidhlu l universita'(so jein definately ma kontx nidhol) u l-istipendji bhal hafna affarijiet ohra(children allowance, minimum wage, pensjonijiet ecc.) gew introdotti minn gvern laburista…….fittex u tiskopri hafna affarijiet!!! informa ruhek qabel ma titkellem!
[Daphne – If you are a university student, then they really are letting in everyone now, aren’t they. And it’s not thanks to Labour, ‘dear’.]
Ghaziza ghalliema, jekk inti zaghzugha, bilfors li fi zmien in-Nazzjonalisti dhalt l-universita. Ma tistax tghid li n-Nazzjonalisti hallewk barra zgur.
They did nothing special by introducing the children’s allowance, minimum wage and pensions. They were just doing exactly what other countries had been doing for quite a while at the time.
I spotted one too, but I don’t like the prizes. Thanks anyway.
But if their leader says he is a ‘zaghzugh’, than why not them?
The message on the banner implies that Joseph is not a “zaghzugh.”
There is another one three down from the P, he is looking towards the east. So that makes three, a crowd. Technically the banner is correct. So who looks stupid now, Daphne?
Actually it’s YOU Lino Cert,
The guy you’re referring to actually works for NET Tv and was there to cover the event.
I know that technically he’s not “ma’ Joseph” but I DID spot a “zaghzugh”. Do I get the prize?
And what about the other picture with Dr. Gonzi laughing…… I guess there isn’t much to laugh about at the moment.
There is plenty to laugh about. Start with the fact that you’re not living in Spain, Greece or Ireland, then continue laughing because you’re not in Portugal, Romania, Bulgaria or Poland either.
What about the other countries?
[Daphne – Sorry for butting in here, Ivan, but I can’t resist. Which countries do you mean? Sweden and Denmark? Mur arakom toqghodu hemmhekk, kieku kemm teqirdu dwar il-prezzijiet u t-taxxa u r-regoli. Ahjar ma nghid xejn izjed. Oh, but they do have excellent social benefits. Perhaps that’s the main attraction.]
Gonzi was caught laughing and put on the picture while Joseph was actually laughing and joking on his way to the Nexos podium together with Micha who was holding Toni’s arm (lambrazzetta) in Republic street.
Not to burst your bubble, but I spotted several and there’s also one in particular whom I know personally! What a coincidence.
[Daphne – Ah, but then your definition of zaghzugh probably ends at 40. Muscat is still repeating the mantra that he’s a zaghzugh, and he’s what, 37 by now?]
I’m 22 and the guy I spotted is also 22. Now don’t I deserve the cruise? Or whatever your prizes are…
[Daphne – The cruise has gone. You can have dinner with John Dalli and listen to him whine about his four-year prison sentence and his living wage.]
But jokes apart, I quite agree with you that in general the Labour Party doesn’t have as many young people supporting it as the Nationalist Party does.
Ghidli x’habs hu dan, ta – paga bhal dik, tghid li trid bla censura, tohrog fejn u kif trid. X’irrid naghmel, please?
zaghzugh fl-ideat….questo e’ poco ma sicuro!
That streamer is sagging. How very apt.
The desperate urge for power fills the minds of PL supporters and nothing will be taken into consideration before their Joseph climbs the Castile stairs
I laughed so much when i saw this because during the last election my friends, university students, had prepared the same banner for the Dingli street mass meeting “Iz zghazagh ma Gonzi”.
This was after all the DNA and other issues, and in fact it was obvious that these new votes contributed to the win.
I still remember when on Xarabank after the election Joe Saliba gave the exact number of new voters, whilst Jason Micallef had no idea.
Daph, I also remember that around a year ago Joseph Muscat said on TVM that he is now getting old.
Is he eating too many burgers and chips?
