Kalamita Zammit wants his limelight back

Published: January 21, 2011 at 9:00pm

Joseph Muscat should have seen it coming after what happened when he gave a home to Marisa Micallef and the Poison Dwarf came out in hives because he felt threatened.

Muscat gave John Bundy a pay cheque to have him compete with Xarabank on Friday nights. It didn’t occur to him for a second that like competes with like, especially in the same organisation.

John Bundy on Super One isn’t competition for Peppi Azzopardi, a very different sort of show-host, on TVM. He’s competition for Kalamita’s Alfred Zammit, also of Super One. Instead of competing with Where’s Everybody, Joseph Muscat has got himself some nice in-house competition of the wrong sort.

It’s really brought out the bitch in Kalamita Zammit, who now thinks that Bundy’s trampling on his desperate-housewives-and-morons turf and taking it over.

Ewwwww you put me off Desperate Housewives!

  2. cat says:

The worst thing I’ve ever seen on Kalamita was a sponsor – a hotel in Bugibba – inviting Zammit and his mother to a free lunch live on air. Couldn’t the sponsor have extended the invitation behind the scenes?

Mur ara x’gargarella ghaddejja fis-Super One bejn iz-zewg stars tal-istazzjon. Imma dalwaqt johrog xi hadd minnhom jghid li huma hbieb kbar minn dejjem u bejniethom m’hemm xejn hlief hbiberija.

  4. ciccio2011 says:

It is time for Kalamita Zammit to write an email to Joseph Muscat stating “John Bundy is just another functionnaire like me” and leak it by mistake to all the press in Malta, just as Kurt did with Marisa.

  5. Hot Mama says:

Don’t know where to post this. It is very relevant to our times of Social Networking and the loss of manners

    • Paul Bonnici says:

John Bundy tried to patronise Daphne by calling her ‘dear’, so it is appropriate to post it here!

‘Dear’ has not died for John.

  6. Cportelli says:

John Bundy’s programme is below average and did you see whose on the panel?

  7. Pat says:

In my opinion Alfred Zammit is quite a good, decent guy. By this I don`t mean that I like his programmes or his political colour, far from it. But if I have to be honest, I just don`t see any “hdura” or “kattiverja” in him, unlike many, many others.

I might be wrong, do not know him personally, but that is the impression he always gave me. I hope I have not made a lot of enemies here, by this comment, but that is how I feel about this particular person.

  8. Albert Farrugia says:

…like Joe “Peppi” Azzopardi competing with Lou Bondi?

    [Daphne – They’re partners.]

    • H.P. Baxxter says:

I think you should specify “business partners”. It is standard practice in Malta to understand things literally.

  9. TROY says:

Does this mean Super One is the new Comedy Channel? Bundy, Zammit and Kurt Farrugia are the new Two and a Half Men, and Jason is The King of Queens, while Everybody Loves Joseph, not Raymond.

  10. Frankie says:

And now Joseph has to face the impatience of Joseph Cuschieri who gave up his parliamentary seat for him.

    http://www.timesofmalta.com/articles/view/20110122/local/cuschieri-says-his-patience-is-running-out

Here’s a suggestion – why doesn’t he donate the onoraria he doesn’t want to poor Cuschieri?

  11. Il-Cop says:

Dear Leader can solve the first problem with a phone call to David Cameron. He is frantically looking for a new head of communications at No 10 following the resignation of Andy Coulson. I know pigs do not fly, but shit happens.

  12. Joseph Micallef says:

Shakespeare’s Comedy of Errors pales into insignificance.

  13. chavsRus says:

What do you base this analyses on? Apart from wishful thinking, that is?

    [Daphn – Inside information.]

  14. Stanley J A Clews says:

There’s no competition Peppi has the audience with him all the way; Bundy looks like a teacher trying to convince a class of backward boys and girls. No, it’s Peppi on Friday nights.

  15. Zorro says:

For goodness sake, stop begging Joey, and if you’re going to write your letter in English, first and foremost learn the language.

    • Antoine Vella says:

Apart from the fact that MEPs are not elected by “families”, as Cuschieri implies, but by individual voters, I bet this is the first time Buzek receives a letter from someone who signs as “6th Lisbon MEP”

      • H.P. Baxxter says:

I can already picture the delight with which this letter will be received by the Euro LGBT lobby group, until they find out it was NOT a spelling mistake.

  16. VR says:

Next Friday, John Bundy is going to discuss the topic of blogs. I am sure this blog will receive much attention considering his not so nice adjectives for it.

    • ciccio2011 says:

Expect him to put a very comfortable but empty chair on the set and to tell us that it is where Daphne should be sitting, but that she is not there because even though he sent her a nice email she did not even bother to OPEN it.

  17. dery says:

I find that watching Alfred Zammit for more than a few seconds, really, no but really, makes me ill. What is it with Super One and people like that?

  18. Silver says:

    @ Pat

Don’t judge a book by its cover. Remember a book has a front and a back. Zammit shows the front, but he is really the BACK of the book.

    • cat says:

Harget is-superjorita tas-Sur Zammit meta darba kien ikun speci ta’ French maid, jew seftura kif nghidu bil-Malti, fil-programm.

Niftakar kien ikollu programm is-Sibt fejn kellu prezentatrici mieghu li kienet fil-bidu tal-karriera, l-anqas cans tghid kelma ma kien ta.

Alla tiela u Alla niezel fil-programm. Tahsbu xi qassis jekk ma tkunx tafu.
