Maltastar: Muscat demands unacceptable behaviour (sounds like fun)

One of the day’s headlines over at the Labour Party’s website, Maltastar:
MUSCAT DEMANDS RESIGNATION OF EDGAR GALEA CURMI, UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOUR
Once again, Maltastar has eaten, shot and left.

The more I hear Joseph Muscat talk the more I realise that he is not up to the job of running the country.
He easily jumps to conclusions and now again he finds himself embarrassed by the likes of Cyrus. Seems that Cyrus manipulated Muscat . Now, Muscat is trying to divert attention.
He is way too young and inexperienced to be Party leader let alone the PM of a country…a EU country.
Has anyone asked whether Cyrus timed his resignation so that he would appear as a victim when his case was called in court?
According to the facts of the case, it was he who asked for charges against him to be expedited, just a week before his resignation, and he also controlled the timing of his resignation.
This certainly occured to me Ciccio, when the earlier investigation dates were released by Mr. Rizzo yesterday. I did (do) hope that it was not the case however.
If you took the trouble to look up the pro-Labour papers of the middle-to-late 80s, you will find them saying the same thing – almost word for word – about Fenech Adami.
Different day, same s**t.
Acceptable in a headline. Not for nitpickers desperate for a diversion though.
No it’s not. Headlines have to be condensed versions of the story, not completely different ones.
It is.

What is the President trying to say here?
Baxxter, the best advice I can give you is that when I need to know what the President has actually said, I normally do not look it up on maltastar.
Sorry, Mother. I just wanted a bit of dirty fun.
Seriously, the President is saying that the best Allied strategy in World War II would have been to exterminate the Hitler Youth. Right? Ciccio?
OK, son. We just need to be careful not to breach article 5 of the Press Act and steal the limelight from Cyrus Engerer in tomorrow’s Maltastar: Ciccio and Baxxter Charged of Attributing Statements to the President, Unacceptable Behaviour.
However, I agree with you that at face value, what was reported by Maltastar (usual warning here: check well before use) could be interpreted by an erudite reader like you as you said. Is this Press-Act-proof enough?
Just add ‘allegat’ every couple of words and you’re safe.
Maybe the PM should appoint Magistrate Consuelo Scerri Herrera to head the Cyrus Engerer enquiry. That should secure the confidence of Joseph Muscat and Labour spokesman Hose Herrera.

Mr President must have caught the highy contagieous silly- season bug as well.
The legacy of Mr. Mintoff of whose shadow the PL can’t shake off, is the lack of leadership.
Mr. Mintoff called Dr Boffa, old fashioned and not with the true battling spirit he himself was to embody.
Mr. Mintoff had us know, that Dr C. Mifsud Bonnice was not ready. However, exasperated, by the time consuming exercise, had his making suspended and prematurely ushered him in. The result was a very indigestible political platter.
Dr A.Sant calls Mr. Mintoff a traitor.
Dr Muscat quickly rehabilitated Mr. Mintoff, but shot the same worded cliché at the present Prime Minister, obviously to extricate his party, from the past errors of political judgments.
Now Dr Muscat is exhilarating himself in having revealed to us, the electorate, the fact that the real turncoat is none, than, Dr Gonzi.
In the same article:
“The Opposition wants to be presented on both enquiries” said Muscat.
Huwa inkredibli kif jahdem mohh Joseph muscat. Mela waqt il-konferenza stampa tal-bierah qal li ghandu fiducja f’Cyrus Engerer u li jafdah, dan wara li Cyrus dahak bieh u ma qallux li qieghed jigi investigat mill-pulizija izda qal li maghandux fiducja fl’imhallef Manche.
Mela ser ikollna Mintoff iehor li dejjem ried li taghdi tieghu u addio qrati u tribunali.
Joseph bil-politika tieghek tajni stimolu biex nerga nidhol nahdem b’kull ma ghandi sahha fil partit nazzjonalista u nheggeg lill kull min ihobb id-demokrazzija biex jaghmel bhal mibki Prof De Marco dejjem kien jghid li id-demkrazzija trid tasisa u tiegiled alija kuljum.
Grammar is important. Capitalisation is the difference between helping your Uncle Jack off a horse and helping your uncle jack off a horse.
Pity the petty local media remains uninterested in the war-next-door…we might get slaMatart headlines in the same spirit as that WW2 classic: “British army push bottles up Germans…”
