Found in Joseph's skip: Ignatius and a matching pair

Published: August 13, 2011 at 1:34pm

Oh my, I can't believe my luck. It's always been my fantasy to do it with Bangkok twins.

Isn’t this a really cute picture? It shows the former Labour mayor of Zurrieq and current Labour Party television personality (One 2 One), Ignatius Farrugia, with a matching pair.

My, the man really is a goer. Here he is down below, helping Magistrate Herrera celebrate her 45th birthday in – where else? – Gozo.

Oh-oh, Natius, we'd better take care. My Robert is coming up the rear.

My uncle was a judge and his only social engagements consisted of attending family weddings; he avoided mixing with guests and his only conversations were with his immediate next of kin.

I know of many others in his position who acted in a similar manner up to the not so distant past.

WE HAVE REACHED THE LOWEST DEPTHS OF DECENCY IN THIS COUNTRY OF OURS!

    • yor/malta says:

Your uncle was a gentleman who carried out his duties within parameters that the vast majority of us would call an exile into solitude and loneliness.

Sadly we are in an age where correct conduct has been set aside by many and the age of the gentleman may be considered about to be extinct .

Is Nejxus going to be Labour’s liberal candidate for the Zurrieq district?

    • H.P. Baxxter says:

‘He is well loved by the Maltese, or so I’m told. “Hi I’m Ignatius”, he said. I could sense he was 1) gay 2) an idiot 3) very popular (since no 2. makes it very much easier on this fucking rock)

  3. Bob says:

Those two boys are the Law brothers, they are Maltese.

  4. Spiru says:

Le ciccio, at Zurrieq, he is Nejcis, literally pronounced like that. He used to organise coffee mornings to raise funds for Mount Carmel Band Club and it used to be funny seeing old women at the bus stops, dressed to the nines and dolled up in garish make up, waiting for the kowc, ha jmorru l-kofi morrrrnings ta’ Nejcis.

Daphne you know from my past posts that I usually agree with you 200% but this time round I felt that I had to correct you on this. The boys with Natius are not a ‘matching pair’ but two boys having fun in a Eurovision party. They are respectable boys (who are also dancers that accompanied our representative on stage) having fun during a party and should not be brought into this. @boy they are not the law brothers but just one of them is a ‘law’. I stress that they are just boys having fun. Everyone knows about Natius’ fixation on Eurovision and this photo was taken during one of these parties….I really see nothing wrong in this.

He is a private citizen now. Anyway… I heard that he started hurling insults at you on a public beach.

[Daphne – You heard wrong. Ignatius Farrugia did not hurl insults at me, and the only time I ever came across him, it was at a private lido. I almost never go to public beaches, for the very reasons you mention. It’s bad enough that even the private lidos are getting out of hand.]

That is one reason why I never but never go to popular beaches as the thought of meeting some unsavoury character puts me off. There are still a very few beaches which most Maltese seem to be unaware of but there is no way that I am going to say where they are! In any case they are not the sort of beach where you can take your razza u radikka plus 3 dishes u mqarrun il forn and 6 litre packs of lachryma vitis and sevin ap.

  7. Grezz says:

    What cheap looking people

  8. davidg says:

@Dery, who told you Natius is a private citizen? He is already canvassing in his hometown Zurrieq. He is not the type to hurl insults, but the kind of calling you qalbi, hanini, sabih, sabieha , to win you over.

  9. Andre says:

It’s all quite sad really. Here’s a clip from some show on ONE tv: – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hKZozhF1Md0

For those who cannot stomach watching the whole clip – Nejcis says he’s a “leader rather than a follower.” He cites as evidence of his leadership skills the fact that his primary school teacher used to ask him to be class prefect.

He thinks kazini are “centri kulturali” and the Eurovision Song Contest is the musical event of the year.

Then the presenter and Nejcis go on to philosophise about how Dana International changed the Eurovision Song Contest.

ONE TV is hardly the home of intelligent conversation and good taste.

I also came across this clip – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=taKF0HNdkRY

This woman is a teacher in a very reputable school. She doesn’t seem to think that her public persona clashes with her professional and personal endeavours.

The Labour Party’s media reflect what their party stands for – shallow opportunism and an insular mindset coupled with a good dose of vulgarity and an extreme lack of professionalism.

Joseph Muscat has transformed the Labour Party into the perfect home for those who have a grudge against society and who harbour those all-consuming feelings of bitterness and hatred.

    It stinks of modern-day Mintoffianism.

It makes me sick to think that this rabble could be in government in 18 months.

Dear all, I feel so disappointed that people like you feel the decency to call other people ignorant and stupid. Ignorance is the inability to tolerate something that is different from your ideas. Why such hatred? Is it because you cannot even have a life of your own and so you try to fill it by other people’s lives.

So ‘brave’ people beware that the most ignorant person is the one that thinks he knows it all, and not the village people who go for a coffee morning, besides that;s none of your business. So please cheer up and if you don’t know how to live it up, why don’t you call Natius, I’m sure you really need it :P

    • And as a reply to Andre… at least he never faced the camera and said rude words referring to political leaders… why don’t you look that word up in the dictionary as well… you are becoming so senseless and the saddest thing about it is that you are completely into denial.

And u know what makes me sick? It makes me sick to have to admit that closed minded people like you are still circulating in this society and that the only thing they are able to do is criticize unobjectively and attacking others, rather than trying to do something themselves.

Why don’t you try to understand why Natius is loved by his friends? When you are a positive person and care about the ones around you people will start to love u, and those who are not able to do this like you will only criticize because they know that this is the only the only thing they are able to do.

Now my msg will await moderation. Who knows wether it will be shared? hehe

Dear all, I feel so disappointed by the comments left by people who believe that they are so well educated and classy.

Shylene………not very good at this posting-commenting-blogging lark are you? (or should I say ‘are u?’ or….’R U?’ maybe)

Lucky for you (u?) that Daphne ‘felt the decency’ to post your (ur?) inane drivel in its absolute entirety! Well…..I enjoyed it anyway.
