George Vella describes the Arab Spring as 'zmien ikrah fil-Mediterran'

How had I missed this? Back in March, George Vella’s take on the uprisings in Egypt, Tunisia and Libya was NEGATIVE. He described the situation which made all democratic people rejoice as ‘zmien ikrah fil-Mediterranan’.
Zmien ikrah?
People had been waiting for this for decades.
He then says that the situation should be studied closely TO SEE WHAT WENT WRONG, and that the measures taken by the European Union failed (because they did not prevent the uprisings).
This man will be our foreign minister in just 18 months.

What does the map at 19 seconds show?
George Vella is not wearing blinkers.
He is blindfolded. He seems to have been so for decades.
What a pity. I know him to be no slouch.
Thinking of all the martyrs – yes, it is ‘zmien ikrah’

Ghadni kemm gej lura minn attivita` fejn il-komunita` Musulmana f’Malta ccelebrat it-tmiem tar-Ramadan. Iltqajna fic-Centru Nazzjonali Laburista. Attivita` tajba fejn spikkaw il-valuri tad-diversita`, ir-rispett, il-liberta` u d-demokrazija. Tajjeb li l-Partit Laburista jinfetah dejjem izjed ghal kulhadd: bla ebda diskriminazzjoni kontra t-twemmin, ir-razza u l-orjentazzjoni sesswali tal-persuna.
[Daphne – Somebody please tell the fool that last night did not mark the end of Ramadan. That’s tonight.]
His logic is as bad as his bedside manner.
What do you expect from someone with this sort of fascist thinking – expecting students who criticise politicians to be shut up by their own university?

What are the odds they’ll do a Stalin and ‘disappear’ this video, like they did to all the footage of the Great Leader railing against the evils of EU membership.?

It seems they don’t watch or read their own propaganda – see above and here:

“The Labour spokesmen on foreign and European affairs, George Vella and Luciano Busuttil, said the party had always believed that relations between Malta and neighbourly Libya should be special”.
George Vella is really letting go:
“Malta’s immigration woes are likely to dissipate if Libya opens up its economy under a serious and fair government, according to foreign affairs shadow minister George Vella.
Libya could become an investment hub, “the Dubai of the Mediterranean”, and it could also capitalise on its white sandy beaches and crystal-clear waters to become a front-runner in the tourism industry, he said.”

George Vella is the quintessential realpolitik practitioner within the Labour Party.
Dinosaurs all of them.
