Has Glenn been knocking back the Bordeaux while dribbling over pictures of Hannibal Gaddafi's Cristal?

Glenn Bedingfield - he looks bright, doesn't he?

Glenn Bedingfield, who edits the Labour Party’s website Maltastar, spends much of his time on Facebook, talking bollocks about wine with the sort of Facebook Friends who drink JekCoke and vodkaretbull.

Not that Glenn cares – he’s right there telling everyone about the virtues of Hannibal Gaddafi’s ‘Cristal Champaign’.

So the news passed him by that Malta was a participant in yesterday’s 63-nation Paris summit on the future of Libya.

Perhaps like the rest of his party, he’s smarting at the fact that 1 September – Gaddafi Day – has been wiped forever off the Labour calendar.

But Glenn’s readers would still like to know the news, and being Labour and not the sort to venture beyond Super One TV and radio, Maltastar and L-orizzont as their trusted news sources – even the BBC is suspect – they are asking Maltastar for information.

Here’s one comment beneath Maltastar’s brief and reluctant report of the Paris summit:

Is Malta invited to the conference on Libya? What will be its position. Now we know why the Prime Minister, Dr. L. Gonzi, suspended his holiday so that it could take a decision and be admitted to take part in the conference on Libya. That was the urgency. No other.

Going for a tasting of Sauvignon Blanc, Old world vs New world as part of iWine’s next edition. I’m also looking forward to taste a Fume Blanc, haven’t had some for ages

Are they implying that it is no big deal? Or better still, that had it been Labour in government, they would not have gone? God help us!

oh and…..Gaddafi day? That was a joke right?

[Daphne – 1 September, which marks the revolution in 1969. It was a big deal for Labour, with its people turning out in force to celebrate with the Libyan ambassador.]

That is an exceedingly ugly individual. Looks like gravity has determined the shape of his head.

He makes more sense talking wine than anything else.

    Leave him to it.

    Do not disturb.
