Shane Webber and Cyrus Engerer

Published: November 1, 2011 at 10:46am

Read the news report in the link I’ve posted below and ask yourself what would have happened to Shane Webber had he been a junior politician with the Conservative Party.

And would Ed Miliband have welcomed him and championed him as one of the new class of liberal politicians who are leaving the Conservative Party, or sent him out to represent the Labour Party?

More to the point, would anybody in politics or the media have defended his actions and made him out to be a victim of government harassment?

The problem is that so many people in Malta are completely unprincipled and have no pride or dignity, even though they seem unduly concerned with their honour (as understood in the Sicilian sense).

Why on earth would an EU Commissioner, any EU Commissioner, choose to spend time with Joe Grima on Super One? It was bad enough that NET TV gave this former Mintoffian cabinet minister air time some years ago.

      Coincidentally – http://cyrusengerer.com/the-pn-i-knew-john-dalli/

John Dalli must be proud to be associated with the likes of Labour and Cyrus.

    • Jozef says:

If I understood correctly, he was proposing using biomass to produce energy, mentioning olive seeds.

Biomass is only available in viable quantities in regions having acres of managed woodland, to make up for the failed attempts to use scraps, shells and seeds from the processing of nuts, olives and fruit alone.

The resulting carbon footprint from the transport and shredding of dead wood, when these smallish powerplants are located elsewhere, offsets any advantage.

He was disappointed that the government should have, at least, come up with a feasibility study…..

Birds of a feather flock together.

I see no difference in Cyrus moving to Labour and Dalli appearing on Inkontri and talking about cliques and the party he knew before.

This piece by Cyrus (Grezz’s link) is vile and shows exactly why he belongs in Labour’s skip along with those individuals who are still in the PN, but who are afraid to come out in the open. The sooner they do it the better, for their sakes as well as everyone else’s.

When is Joe Grima going to host AST on Inkontri? I can’t wait.

    • Carmen Spiteri says:

AST is still nursing a broken heart ghax qatlulu l-Gaddafi u issa spicca minghajr boxxla u pole star.

    • Mandango says:

Actually AST has already been a guest on Joe Grima’s Inkontri, and if you ask me, he came across much better than most politicians we (unfortunately) see and read about daily. Pity you missed it.

Maybe you could write something about this, bringing awareness to the issue of “gangs”‘ too.

While AST is in hiding, let’s read about his pAST:

Maybe now Astrid doesn’t think him so cute anymore.

I know that this is completely out of context, but what can I do? I have to share it with all of you.

I dont get this. What exactly do the Greeks want? Carrying on with a lifestyle that they clearly cannot afford ,whilst the rest of the EU pick up their tabs with no strings attached?

    • Richard Borg says:

Basically George Papandreou is handing the hot potato over to the voters.

This way he can say that any decision taken regarding this latest bailout package was brought about by the people.

Just like Dr Gonzi did with the divorce issue.

    • Stephen Forster says:

At least the Greeks show consistency.

      rien à changer there.

The Euro is doomed (not literally) unless fiscal policies are aligned for the eurozone as a bloc and not left to individual states to cook the books or play regional politics come election time. My opinion and I am in favour of the EU before you read the article.

  10. Ganna says:

The MEPA gave a permit for an extension to Seabank Hotel. Very nice indeed.

This monstrous building took so much agricultural land, but that’s OK.

I wonder why Joseph Muscat agreed with the MEPA on this?

[Daphne – All you have to know is that the owners are great friends of Consuelo and Jose Herrera and regularly host them to lunch and dinner.]
