My column in The Malta Independent tomorrow is about Karmenu Vella’s performance on Bondi+ last night. Meanwhile, his Facebook friends have been jamming Il-Guy’s wall with admiring comments.

None of them watch Bondi+… but they did.
There are two things Labour supporters never do:
1. They never watch Bondi+.
2. They never read Daphne’s blog.

You have to admit that at times il-perit left Bondi speechless. Like when he was speaking about billions instead of millions.
I think Mr. Bondi often gets so exasperated with his guests that the only thing he can do is tell them “oh…right”.
This is because he is not uncouth and so would not continue to show them up when they are clearly struggling.
He lets them save face, at least in the eyes of the type of people who vote Labour. The rest of us can see clearly how out of their depth they are.
We live on a tiny island but we might as well come from different planets.
The funny thing is they think it’s a debate rather than an interview, so they’re perfectly happy that their idol left so many questions unanswered. To them, he’s a hero. To the rest, he’s a rat.
I tend to disagree, when Bondi identifies that someone is struggling he keeps on putting pressure and that’s what he tried yesterday….Yesterday was teh first time I saw Karmeu being interviewed and to say the least he impressed me….either he was so sure about what he was saying or he is a good bluffer….either way he makes a good politician….I hope in the Labour party more politicians like him crop up….I tend to say even in the PN but I know you would disagree….to conclude I think yesterday he served as a reminder that the Labour party is not how Daphne pictures it….digging deeper you’ll find some truly great politicians….waiting for tomorrow’s article by Daphne…please post it over here, I don’t buy newspapers…I hate them

Why is it necessary to dig deep to find a truly great politician in the PL?
I can’t see where is the problem in not buying newspapers when I can read articles from the comfort of my home just a click away without having to scrap through 30cm pages which when holding them you feel that kind of dust as if your reading some chronicles which have been existing for 1000 of years…..but to say the least the Nationalist themselves must be morons because Bondi himself told him…anke n-nazzjonalisti jghidu li kont ministru tat-turizmu tajjeb

You will be relieved to know, Daphne, that Ray Ellul is nothing at all like his awful siblings Sharon Ellul Bonici, Carol Ellul, John Charles Ellul and Andy Ellul. He has nothing to do with them – literally.

I was going through the comments and I stopped at one that called Karm a.k.a. Guy a.k.a. Perit an ECONOMIST.
I missed the show, so I tried to see the programme on di-ve today. Karm Vella couldn’t even answer Lou Bondi’s first question on the ideological differences between the parties. That was enough to tell me that it’s not worth wasting my evening watching the programme.
It doesn’t surprise me in the least that Labour morons found ‘Il-Guy’ “bomba” u “professjonali”.
Idiots are always impressed with mediocrity.
