Melita Incorporated

So it turns out that the Texas Secretary of State registry lists a ‘domestic for profit’ corporation, Melita Inc., filed on 31 October 1997.
The ‘registered agent’ (in our terminology, this would be the legal/judicial representative) and president of this corporation is David P. Bland, husband of Yana Mintoff. Yana Mintoff is the corporation secretary and her father Dom Mintoff is a director.
The corporation is based in Wimberley, Texas, and is described as ‘still active’. It’s Texas State Reference ID is 146644800.

Brilliant piece of journalism. But I’m not holding out much hope that PN’s media people will pick this up. Or The Times for that matter.

Baxxter, It was just a matter of luck, not brightness. I came across the name of that corporation in the list of charities of Texas, to which I make large donations every month from my oil and gas revenues.
How very thoughtful. I run a charity myself, called Give Baxxter A Cens. Perhaps you would like to contribute. We prefer cash donations, but we will accept tins, as long as they’re crammed with wads of cash. Never could get those Istrina people to donate funds. This year I even offered to take part in the show myself, and get my scrote waxed live on national television. I expected a positive reply, but instead I got a police summons.

And then the state had to provide for her frail father.
Can one obtain a copy of the audited accounts, balance sheet, list of assets or such? Or perhaps at least the purpose of the corporation?
Aren’t tax-payers supposed to declare all directorships, Maltese or non-Maltese?
Does that mean Mintoff, or daughter Yana, are breaking the law?
Seriously! Of all the states that make up the US, Yana went to live in Texas? One of the most capitalist states in the US? Where they treat socialist ideals and anything which can be considered leftist on the same level as something disgusting stuck to one’s sole? How could she bear it?
