Maltastar: always first with the news
Evarist Bartolo, who last Saturday said on radio that people are scared of Richard Cachia Caruana because he uses the secret service against them, is in charge of Labour’s news website Maltastar.
That’s why it’s such a mess. The man is as useless as hell, and bloody lazy with it. It’s all he can do to move his mouth to talk. And then he probably has to have a nice lie-down afterwards.
Anyway, you’d think that with his Cachia Caruana/Secret Service obsession (miskin) he’d have had a hot reporter at the parliamentary foreign affairs committee session earlier tonight, giving us a minute by minute report.
But no.
Pop across to Maltastar and you’ll see that there’s not a word about the subject. This is Labour’s Big Bowel Motion and Labour’s website pretends it isn’t happening.
I can’t say I blame them. I’d be under a stone by now, hoping that it’s all going away.
And what exactly is Evarist’s fixation with the secret service? When he and the Tooth Fairy were holding each other’s hand in the parliamentary debate on divorce, they claimed that the secret service was intercepting their mobile phone calls to each other. Do you remember that?
They were ridiculous.
Evarist teaches communications and journalism at the university. His lectures must be a joke. “Do as I say and not as I do.” Imagine going to the University of Malta to read journalism and discovering that your lecturer manages a really hot and sophisticated news site like Maltastar. X’imbarazz.
Maltastar’s “latest headlines” as of now, when all the other media are dominated by Eyebrows Vella’s row with the prime minister at the Foreign Affairs Committee hearing:

My memory is not as good as it used to be, but was this joker not the one, along with JPO who complained that their mobile was ‘hacked’?
[Daphne – Read my post again. The answer is yes.]
While he’s rather boring, he’s actually not that bad a lecturer at all. You honestly wouldn’t guess he was such an idiot.
So he’s one person at university and another in public life? That makes him a hyprocrite and a liar.
That’s exactly what I thought when he lectured me a few years ago. He’s very mild-mannered, sensible, impartial and objective in his delivery.
