Are these people going to govern the country via Facebook?

Luciano reminds us once more that he's ministerial material

As though it’s not enough that there’s Luciano Busuttil making a total ass of himself on Facebook by documenting how tough he was with the PM while reading L’Espresso in parliament’s foreign affairs committee.

Now we have aspiring cabinet minister Silvio Parnis, a grown man of nearly 50 who’s always telling us how busy he is getting away from his wife and son, begging people to click Like on his Facebook page.

Is he some kind of moron?

I see Silvio’s been to primary school. Impressive. I’ve never seen that before on a minister’s CV.

I wonder if he ever made it to Form 2.

Are not they all? Except the ‘Great Leader’, a conniving moron.

Presumably, if one clicks on “Like” one will be able to receive invitations to his bingo parties at the Palace in Paola, the coffee mornings with the ladies at the Gondolier in Tarxien, and tours of the harbour with men.

Oh, no. There’s not need to click ‘like’ for that. We’re all invited. Why, he says so himself.

Me? I’ve just booked two tickets for the dawra mal-portijiet. As it is fl-okkazjoni ta’ jum il-missier, I shall present them to Parnis junior so that he can invite his mother, since his father didn’t do so himself.

How ostentatious to write about yourself like that.

Jew forsi min ikollu l-iktar Likes isir ministru la jitilghu?

Considering that this is the Labour Party, perhaps one should explain to them the difference between a “like” and a “lick.”
