Luciano Busuttil thinks we’ve been in recession for years

The typical bird-brain: he feels over-burdened by his petlor bill and the fees he pays Chiswick House School and concludes that the country has been in recession for years because he has “felt” it.
Oh, and he’s part of the solution, of course – a man whose grilling skills stop at a sausage.

David Bezzina, so that would make Luciano a “prognosticator”?
I find in the above pea-brain exchange of comments a common trend of ‘injoranza pura’, starting with the comment by the onorevoli and then by Victor Azzopardi and David Bezzina.
I will not say anything about the comment by the onorevoli because it is meaningless and in my opinion, as a politician, he should not go on Facebook to discuss such serious matters so flippantly.
As for Victor Azzopardi, he needs to know that the government has been consistent in raising awareness of the problems which surround us, and which will sooner or later affect us.
The Finance Ministry has interpreted the published statistics for public consumption.
It looks like Davis Bezzina is not living in Malta. What he is suggesting in his comment is exactly what is happening. Immediately after the election and right into 2009 the government went through an exercise with ailing factories and through assistance and investment around 5,000 jobs were saved.
Then there was a series of projects, which created employment, such as the new parliament house andcity gate project, road reconstruction and building, the construction of the Aviation Park in Hal Far, the Eco Science Centre in San Gwann and more.
Luciano needs to have his prostate checked by a professional prognosticator.
When I told my friends in the UK about the headline showing that Malta had entered a recession they were like “about time!”. The UK is currently going through its second recession. So, Malta has done very well.
Do the PL think that had they won the general election in 2008 then Malta would never enter a recession? What a joke.
