So Labour now approves of Jeffrey’s Mistra project

Published: July 7, 2012 at 9:54pm

That’s what we’re forced to conclude from the news that Joseph Muscat asked him to stand on the Labour ticket. That Mistragate is no longer a shocking scandal, that Alfred Sant was lying and Jeffrey was not, and that, because the Mistra project was fine, a Labour government will disregard the separation of powers to ensure that Jeffrey and Carmen get their permit.

Because by then it will be Jeffrey and Carmen, of course, and not Jeffrey alone.

    Two weights and two measures.

If you are a PN candidate, they either search your family tree for the least incident with which to harm you or else they just ignore even the very recent past and absolve you of any wrong as long as they can get something out of it.

Political pragmatism as practised by the PL.

Translated into the vernacular: ‘partit qahba’.

My apologies to the oldest profession.

If Carmen and JPO get that permit, that will be the end of it.

Life under Labour as we knew it.

Keep in mind that it was the Labour Party under Sant that was ‘against’ Jeffrey’s Mistra project.

Labour under Muscat probably feels differently.

In their version of history Alfred Sant does not exist, so presumably neither does his (opportunistic) opposition to the Mistra project. There will therefore be no contradictions if the permit is granted – at least in their history books.

Here’s a scary thought. We could very easily have had Dr Sant to get us through the global economic crisis. Can you imagine what life would have been like?

That would be hilarious, isn’t he founder member of some association for the protection of valleys?

Look who’s back. Why does she think Mark Anthony Falzon was referring to her in last week’s article? Jumpy are we?

So, by her logic, given that we’ve had overdevelopment where poor little inheritors had to give in to greedy speculators, it’s better to have some more with Joseph.

Stupid Lawrence should have known better than to inflict Mepa with real authority.

Tell us Astrid, what do you think of Joseph’s pledge for the difficult decisions to be taken and Mepa’s revisable competence ?
