Some MPs really work hard for their money

Anthony Agius Decelis, Labour MP and the Opposition’s Kelliem Ewlieni Ghal Biedja u Sajd, is currently dragging himself around in the terrible heat at Marsalforn, with a bunch of sweating ladies of generous proportions in tow.
Perhaps he’s checking out the fisheries situation there. Or maybe it’s yet another fundraiser like his visits to the seven churches on Maundy Thursday:
HARGA GHAN-NISA MA’ TONY AGIUS DECELIS! DAWRA MAL-BAJJIET GHAWDXIN. NIEQFU MARSALFORN GHAL HOBZA U LUMINATA! GHAXAR EWRO BISS.

Talk of egomaniacs.
[Daphne – Lie down and weep. He’d better work on an App that tells the party whip how his MPs are voting.]
Politics has become just one big stage for wannabes and show offs… jaqq
Naqra expensive hobza u luminata 10 ewro, u m’hawnx flus fl’idejn.
I recoil when I see or hear the word “luminata”. It epitomises something so annoyingly parochial, archaic and even condescending in a “harga tal-anzjani” kind of way.
Waqfa ghal luminata Mintoffjana.
