The Times reports today:

Labour welcomes end of ‘thought police’

Labour has welcomed proposals to restrain the police from prosecuting artists with culture spokesman Owen Bonnici saying it should not have taken an entire court process to spark some common sense.

Labour welcomes end of thought police, eh? U imbaghad Alla hares ikollok opinjoni kontra taghhom, jew tikkritikom, ghax immorru dritt jigru ghal ghand il-Pulizija b’xi kwerela dwar OPINJONI.

U jekk ma jistghux jaghmlu hekk, juzaw il-magna feroci tas-Super One kontrik.

Anzi, suppost ghadda iz-zmien meta kienu jigu jaghmluek bomba jew jaharqulek il-printing press biex ma tiktibx kontrihom.

Gejjin bit-thought police. Ajma jahasra, silly season indeed.

Ja qabda ipokriti bla zejt f’wicckom.

And yet, ironically, it was the Owenmeister himself who stopped the censorship law from being passed just before parliament went into hibernation for their Summer Holiday ExtraVaganza.

    Alannis would be proud …..

Incidentally, here is an article with some sarcasm at the expense of Labour’s Aussie Deputy Prime Minister.

In the good old days, Owen Bonnici would have been spokesman for ‘National Culture’, whatever that meant.

From where I sit, that would mean driving with your arm dangling out of the window, and the tanga peaking over the shorts.

Daphne, unrelated subject. Do you know why the di-ve.com website is no longer recording Bondiplus and Xarabank?
Too bad they are no longer accessible.

It goes to show that appearances really are deceptive … although the awful pose and attire in the Facebook profile pic give more than a hint of a mid-life crisis.

    Come off it, Owen!

How did you vote on 30th May and on 18th June? How do you dare talk of ‘thought police’! Shame on all of you.

Or when they used to send you bomb threats, or send police behind the door, or harass you on the street, or not let you travel and detain you till your flight is about to leave….WE HAVEN’T FORGOTTEN AND NEVER WILL.

Labour made and advertise this website on super one and then it is never updated. It is meant to be a daily calender of the evil of Gonzi PN

But they seem to have nothing to really fill it with.

One would be naive to underestimate Labour’s Machiavellian philosophy.

Excuse me Daphne, but have you seen this comment?

Wonder what happened after 16, did he graduate to willy tugging maybe?

[Daphne – I’m guessing he doesn’t know the difference between dating and the other stuff.]
