Oh, what a lot of good Mintoff did..

Dom Mintoff with the man who controlled him, Lorry Sant.

Daniel Micallef, a minister in Mintoff’s cabinet, was interviewed by The Sunday Times in October 2010. This bit was particularly interesting.

“I kicked Lorry Sant out of Parliament after he insulted me. Despite Mintoff’s request to call him back in, I refused. I chased after him, calling him corrupt…”

“Mintoff was playing with political fire when he gave the go-ahead to a controversial building steered by Lorry Sant close to Mount Carmel Hospital, which would have ruined a green area in Attard, and I said I wanted the building demolished.”

“Mintoff came up to me and warned I risked being shot if I forged ahead with the threat.”

That’s how great a hold Lorry Sant had on Dom Mintoff. He was terrified of him, to the extent that he actually warned another of his ministers that he risked being shot for crossing him.

Mintoff must have been scared shitless that Lorry Sant would take the opportunity to go home and return with a brown envelope.

Eddie will regret having said those words, for the rest of his life.

It seems that the bad Mintoff did is justified by the good he did.

A good person can never do good things which can be offset by bad deeds.

Mintoff was PURE NASTY evil, the good things he did for the poor working class, was for his self promotion to get to power and become an absolute control freak. Mintoff was evil. The PN used Mintoff to defeat Dr Sant, yet the PN behave as if they are in opposition.

Everyone is expected to do good let alone a prime minister who is voted in precisely to do good for the benefit of the country in general.

Evil behaviour for years on end, including the use of violence can never be off-set by any good deeds.

This shows that Mintoff was essentially a good man, although the evil Lorry Sant was bearing on him like a ton of bricks.

I wonder if this is also the predicament of today’s prime minister, who is a good man but hostage to evil men?

OMG can you actually state that the first sentence, out loud? Can you listen to what you are actually saying and do you believe it? If affirmative then this country is made up of morons.
