Even his users in the Labour Party have no choice now but to conclude he really is seriously disturbed
Franco Debono is about as rational here as an armed man in a crowded train station, who threatens to begin shooting and killing with the caveat ‘Don’t make me do it’, closely followed, after a blood-bath, by ‘Look what they made me do.’
And he sees it as standing up for a cause, when it is clear to all by now that the cause is him and his personal needs and sick obsessions.
“Maybe I will lose my seat” – MAYBE? It’s a certainty, unless he’s planning on contesting as an independent as is mad enough to think he will be elected.
And then we look at history and wonder how cracked and dangerous men have succeeded, repeatedly, into forcing themselves into positions of power over others, with untold damage, death and destruction.
If he were some poor housewife, he would have long since been given a shot in the arm and been sectioned by his husband and GP under the Mental Health Act.
And no, that wasn’t a joke, either. This is one hell of a nutcase on the verge of a complete nervous breakdown.

Dr. Gonzi, why not call an election and take the full three month campaign. We will still blame a ruined Christmas on this idiot.
Careful, he will have you arrested for inciting terrorism or something.
Franco – I honestly think you are the gambler. It appears you’re gambling your life away.
What a way for sludge to go, at the bottom of that sewage pit.
Daphne is right all the way about you being a true Laburist by nature and now even by your actions, mimli hdura u lanzit. You’re certainly NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE.

Daphne, I put that down to piss-poor English. He is trying to use the construction: “I may have lost my seat in parliament, but that’s not important” in a tense where it does not work as intended.
An idea for Joseph Muscat:

Roll on the next election. We will be free to tell Debono that it’s good riddance to bad rubbish.
skuzawni , forgot to include JPO [ s ] in my comment
So, the business community has been asked to intervene on his behalf, otherwise it’s their loss.
Let’s see whether Joseph’s willing to endorse this blackmail. Cara din, daqs il-kristall, se jhalluna nahdmu jew le?
Oh look! Surprise! Franco Debono and Deffney’s Nosebook share the same views on Soros’s “Arab Spring” and Gaddafi the moronic patsy.
Hopefully, by the time Libya is proclaimed an Islamic State they will have realised how much in common they both have, barring their English, of course.
It’s one and the same coin: Pollyanna on one side, Gahan on the other.
Speaking of morons, your abysmal attempt at humour portrays a similar trait.
Can someone explain to this WOFT (waste of fucking space) that having an election in November is actually much worse for the business community than having an election around the 3rd week of January?
For a good Christmas, a good steady run-up in November is crucial. An election at this time and any potential change just before Christmas will be a total disaster.
The fool actually is trying to convince us that he is doing all this for us to enjoy a Christmas without an election. Who does he think he is kidding?
Has he never learnt you can fool some people some of the time but never all the people all the time. Worse he might actually genuinely believe he is doing it in our interests. Talk about delusional.
He has caused so much damage to the country.
[Daphne – Yes, to the country, not the government or Austin ‘pipi’ Gatt or Lawrence Gambler Gonzi.]
The conspirators are in collusion with the opposition again. They are presenting nonessential and useless motions just to humiliate and deride the government and obstruct the smooth operations of the state. This behaviour is termed malicious.
This country should not give in to this act of treachery and falseness. This is a case of political corruption. Government would do well to resist this attempt and discount its importance by hiving it off.
Franco should have never been accepted in the PN, not even as a ‘tesserat’ let alone as a candidate.
It is impossible that no one in the PN knew of his bad behaviour, of his arrogance, disloyalty and irrational self-obsession.
People like him should not be allowed any space in the PN not even at the lowest levels.
Now I fully understand why he is also targeting Minister Joe Cassar.
