So, once again Franco failed miserably. His actions had the opposite effect of what he was aiming for.

  2. Alf says:

OMG, we are really going to miss dear Franco very soon. The party is going to lose one of its henchmen, the only one who has balls.

Hallina, Franco. As the Maltese say “ghax ma tmurx issib Grieg, forsi tistrieh”.

  3. Edward Caruana Galizia says:

For God’s sake, Franco, give us all a break will you?

Let’s say, just for argument’s sake, that there is this clique thing you talk about. How exactly does it affect me?

All your protests and hissy fits are about how unfair they all are to you. But, unless I missed something, there doesn’t seem to be any allegations about how this clique is oppressing the people.

Do they ban foreign goods only to secretly enjoy them themselves, for example?

Can’t you see that you are not a revolutionary? Why on Earth should I care about how unfairly you think you are being treated at work?

Are you sure it had nothing to do with you being bad at your job?

Did you ever stop to think that maybe you are just not the sharpest tool in the shed and could not do any better than what you were doing?

No one cares about your enemy because it is not a threat to anyone.

It s just a threat to your blessed ego which is fuelled by a Form II report.

      Perfect.

    • Toyger says:

Best comment I’ve read…be careful not to get sued by him because he takes offence mightily.

    • Jozef says:

Anyone noticed how he gave up on his reforms, seeing that they’ve been taken up and subjected to a debate beyond his wishful thinking?

The man isn’t capable of discernment, the translation of principles into law or the organisation of concepts into method.

No wonder he feels hard done by as soon as someone picks up his ideas to take them to the next step. Merit, in his mind, is the coalescence of influence on a common understandable idea.

Politics, in his book, is about intellectual property.

      • Edward Caruana Galizia says:

What’s worse is he is trying to convince everyone, including himself, that he has supporters.

        He doesn’t.

He just has a bunch of Labourite die-hards who are cheering him on for their own personal aims, i.e. to help put the PN in a bad light, improve Labour’s chances of getting elected and reinforcing their delusion that we live under a dictatorship.

He gravitates towards them because he knows he is on his own and needs support from somewhere and he doesn’t care where it comes from.

Don’t worry Franco, this is just my opinion.

  4. anthony says:

Franco, the PN is a million times more powerful than Austin Gatt..

Don’t worry my dear. Sleep tight.

If the PN needs to stand up to Austin it has the ways and means to do so.

So far it has not been necessary.

In fact Austin Gatt is one of the PN’s greatest assets.

Keep calm, do not panic, we, true Nationalists, are fine.

We do not need your advice re Austin Gatt.

Maybe you could benefit from a low dose of Haloperidol.

Maybe it could help you to stop worrying about Austin Gatt and his perceived strength after the next election.

I am confident Franco’s ‘Golden Member’ will withstand the onslaught, as he retreats to Mummy’s hen house.

    Nay, Nay! Franco rules.

  8. L-iZgej says:

Franco proves without any doubt that in any organisation the arsehole rules.

  9. Snoopy says:

Will Franco publish a full transcript of his university degree? It might make for interesting reading.

  10. jaqq says:

Franco Debono brags that he was elected on a difficult district. It is true however it is good to note that this was after his third attempt and after telling people not to vote for Louis Galea as he will be made President

  11. Angus Black says:

“…austin gatt will be stronger within the party after next election. there is no one to stand up to him now”.

A very telling statement by our dear Franco:

    1. He admits that he is going, going and soon gone.
    2. If Austin will be strongER after next election, it infers that he is strong now.
    3. Franco thinks that he is stronger than Austin and could have done a better job, then why is Austin still in and Franco is/will be OUT? The weaker man won?
    4. Austin will not be contesting by his own decision. Franco will not contest because he was kicked out and not permitted to contest under the Nationalist Party banner.
5 “Standing up to him (Austin)” didn’t make one iota of a difference to him, but surely did to you, Franco.

Franco you’re a loser, soon to be interred in the dustbin of Maltese politics.

  12. Ken il malti says:

Franco needs a set of crimson trouser braces with the “it factor” if he wants to out mojo Austin Pipi Gatt.

Fat chance if he can find those at the local haberdasher’s shop.

  13. elephant says:

Franco can now boast of another supporter ” EDDY PRIVITERA”
