Subject: L-Immigrazzjoni Illegali – Problema Li Għadha Magħna.’

Stqarrija 12 ta’ Novembru 2012

Maħruġa minn Michael Falzon, Kelliemi Ewlieni Laburista Għas-Sigurta u I-Immigrazzjoni

‘L-Immigrazzjoni Illegali – Problema Li Għadha Magħna.’

Il-wasla ta’ madwar 250 immigrant ieħor f’ dawn l-aħħar jiem, reġa wera biċ-ċar kemm il-problema tal-immigrazzjoni għadha waħda reali u fattwali għal pajjiżna.

Minn naħa l-oħra, l-fatti numeriċi, illi huma biss madwar erba’ fil-mija mill-immigranti li jaslu f’ pajjiżna li fil-fatt jiġu meħuda mill-pajjiżi l-oħra tal-Unjoni Ewropeja, jikxef beraħ il-fatt, ta’ kif ma’ hemm l-ebda solidarjeta tanġibbli f’ dan il qasam ma’ pajjiżna.

Dan il-persentaġġ hekk baxx huwa xhieda mill-aktar evidenti ta’ kemm bħala fatt, l’ hekk imsejjah kuncett tal-‘Voluntary Burden Sharing’ , ma’ kien xejn għajr falliment.

Quddiem dan kollu tibqa dejjem akbar il-ħtiega li pajjiżna irid ikun dejjem aktar attiv fil-fora politiċi ewropej fir-rigward tal-immigrazzjoni; qasam li issa ilu x-xhur jaqa’ taħt ir-responsabbilita politika tal-Prim Ministru nnifsu.’

Again, so much for their patrijottizmu mnejjek:

‘L-Immigrazzjoni Illegali – Problema Li Għadha Magħna.’

Il-wasla ta’ madwar 250 immigrant ieħor f’dawn [no space] l-aħħar jiem, reġghet uriet [wasla is feminine] biċ-ċar kemm il-problema tal-immigrazzjoni għadha waħda reali u fattwali għal pajjiżna.

Min-naħa [in-naha] l-oħra, il-fatti [comma, therefore vkoali tal-lehen follows] numeriċi, illi huma biss madwar erbgha [erbgha as in hamsa fil-mija] fil-mija mill-immigranti li jaslu f’pajjiżna [no space] li fil-fatt jiġu meħuda mill-pajjiżi l-oħra tal-Unjoni Ewropea [EJA, no], jikxfu [FATTI was plural] beraħ il-fatt [huh? il-fatti jikxfu berah il-fatt? This sentence is about to disappear up its own arse], ta’ kif ma’ hemm l-ebda solidarjetà [accent on the final a] tanġibbli f’dan [no space] il-[hyphen]qasam ma’ pajjiżna.

Dan il-persentaġġ hekk baxx huwa xhieda mill-aktar evidenti ta’ kemm bħala fatt, l-hekk [hyphen, not apostrophe, you idiots] imsejjah kuncett tal-’Voluntary Burden Sharing’, [no space before comma] ma [ma is the negation, idiots] kien xejn għajr falliment.

Quddiem dan kollu tibqa’ [apostrophe] dejjem akbar il-ħtiega li pajjiżna jrid [A therefore jrid] ikun dejjem aktar attiv fil-fora politiċi ewropej [fora? liema? l-EU? Mela ghiduha] fir-rigward tal-immigrazzjoni [fir-rigward – what clumsy Maltese], [comma here] qasam li issa ilu x-xhur jaqa’ taħt ir-responsabbilità [accent on final A] politika tal-Prim Ministru nnifsu.’

His profile, under the “Hobbies” section, reads “Iħobb ħafna l-qari”. Apparently it’s just reading he’s excited about – spelling and sentence structure can go eff’ themselves.

Jekk jahdem in-nar bl-istess mod li jikteb ,allura naf il-ghala jtiru l-kmamar tan-nar.

You just have to love Baxxter. I nominate him for Chairman of the Standards Authority.

It infuriates me no end that I’ve had to face a wall of shit while subliterate morons get to become lawyers and lord it over us in government.

While not related to this article, I need to vent my anger at the Labour Party’s arrogance.

After receiving another email from Joseph Muscat, lambasting the poor state of our country, I decided I had enough and went through the process of unsubscribing from the mailing list – to which I never subscribed in the first place.

The process was pretty straightforward and I even bothered to reply to a question about why I chose to unsubscribe (“I had never subscribed”).

It was at this point that I bothered to look at the rest of the screen, and some of the information was pretty shocking.

Under a section called “your info”, it showed my IP, which browser I’m using and also how many pages I had visited in this browser session.

While I realise this information is readily available to anyone who wants to obtain it, having it appear on screen, especially while I’m unsubscribing is disturbing.

I felt it like a direct threat, as in “we know who you are and we know what you’re doing”. I might be wrong, and it might just be my paranoia of Old Labour rearing its head, but I’ve heard too many horror stories about what life was like under Labour to dismiss this outright.

The assessment of internet user political risk would seem to depend upon where you live: Sweden, UK, USA, Russia, China, and then when and where (?) there is/has been/will be Malta.

    • el bandido guapo says:

Any and every website already has that info about you (including this) and some sites can choose to display it (to you) so you can now either put your mind at rest, or pull the plug on your modem, permanently…

Some sites choose to display this info to you so that anyone thinking of doing something silly is made aware that it is rather difficult to be truly anonymous on the net.

    • Neil: Remember when Paul Borg Olivier had sent an email to Jason Micallef instead of Jason Azzopardi, asking for collaboration so that the names of all those who visited government ministries, departments etc.. complaining about something, all details about those persons were to be passed to Dar Centrali ?

    • Neil says:

I work in IT, I know the full implications of how easy it is to trace user provenance and browsing habits.

The issue is not about such statistics being ready available, but rather how they are being presented to the user (and whether they should be actually presented in teh first place.)

Simply put, if one knows a persons name and surname in most cases you could easily find that persons home address by looking it up in a telephone directory, asking around, etc. as certain information nowadays is readily available.

On the otherhand if during a quarrel with someone, that person says something on the lines of “I know where you live,” then that’s a threat.

Similiarly, labour by placing that information on the unsubscribe page, is gving a threating message, whether it is intentional or not.

Oh and by the way Eddy, yes I do remember it and don’t justify it, what’s wrong is wrong. But by your answer your imply that if the nationalist party can do it so can your party, which really doesn’t bode to well for the future, now does it.

S’hemm biss kapaci taslu intom tal-Labour – NEGATTIVITA’. Isimghu l-ahbarijiet tas-Super One (jekk tifilhuh). “Problema li ghadha maghna.” Taghwru fil-ferita. Tilghabu bl-emozzjonijiet baxxi ta’ nies mhux infurmati. (Ghalhekk tridu tisimghu in-nies? Biex tghidulhom dak li jridu jisimghu?

Bhal dak li qallu din il-problema holoqha l-Gvern ‘ta’ GonziPN’. Kulma hu kapaci jghid Falzon hu li jkunu “aktar attiv fil-fora ewropej”. Nixtieq naf x’se jaghmel hu la jkun ministru biex din il-problema “ma tibqax maghna”.

Meta l-labour (progressiv?) jitkellem fuq il-problema tal-imigrazzjoni rregolari, x’ikun qed jifhem ezattament: il-problema ekonomika, dik UMANA, socjali, politika jew kulturali? Jew dawn kollha flimkien?

X’inhuma l-policies konkreti tal-labour biex jindirizza kull wiehed mill-aspetti ta’ din il-problema li nistghu nghidu se tibqa’ maghna fit-tul (sakemm xi darba l-Afrika tistabilizza).

    L-insensittivita’ ta’ din il-press release tfakkarni fl-insensittivita’ tad-deputat Refalo hu u jitkellem dwar il-problema tal-kmamar tax-xoghol tan-nar. Donnu li l-mod kif il-labour jiffaccja u jsolvi l-problemi li jinvolvu n-nies hu billi ‘jaqtghalhom rashom’ (lin-nies).

Maybe he’ll move the island further up north say to the Baltic Sea.

Ara kemm ingibu iktar voti fil-Eurovision daqs kemm ikollna neighbours.

  4. ciccio says:

In his concluding paragraph, Michael Falzon forgot an important part of the policy of the Leader of the Malta Labour Party on immigration, namely that Malta should use its veto to block EU decisions.

  5. Jozef says:

Watched a Professor Borg on Musumeci’s tonight, he said Malta lags behind in literacy skills, as in capacity to discernment. He also said that these, the result of conditioning are acquired at age three. Correct.

Well doesn’t that imply parents play a crucial part?

The only two countries we preceed being Rumania and Bulgaria.

There’s your generazzjoni socjalista, Professor Borg, it’s their kids you’re talking about.

Josianne Cassar, wrapped in a man’s jacket, sporting a moustache, said trade schools were such a good thing.

This when the same Borg, referred to the professions as ‘korsijiet tal-poter’, shunned by working class students.

Simone Cini read a right of reply two pages long sent in by the police commissioner. Balzan was on air last week.

    Imma kif dejjem hu?

  6. M. Bormann says:

The amount of spelling mistakes is amazing. There is also an , which doesn’t even exist in Maltese.

  7. Il- “Burden Sharing” volontarju kienet qassata ohra ta’ GonziPN u Simon Busuttil. Bzajtu tghidu lill-UE li ma kontux lesti tiffirmaw dak il-ftehim jekk ma jkunx wiehed mandatorju !

Ara l-“Burden Sharing” ta’ mijiet kbar ta’ miljuni ta’ ewros biex nghinu lil- Gracja, Iralanda, Spanja etc..accettajtu li jkun mandatorju. U qed ikollna nhallsu u niggarantixxu mijiet ta’ miljuni ! Isthu jekk tafu kif !

    • RJC says:

Mur gib li ma konniex fl-EU kif konna aktar nitlew bihom dawn.

Issa jekk jitla’ l-gvern tieghek jorhogrna mill-EU u nirrangaw kollox sur gharef.

Tidher imbaqbaq wahda nobis Privitera . Min meta Grecja saret Gracja u Irlanda saret tinkiteb Iralanda?

    • Chris Ripard says:

Mr Privitera, let’s suppose we took Joseph’s advice and went down the route of Cyprus and Iceland. No doubt, in that case, you’d be saying “look how great we are – we get handouts!”.

Because that’s all your precious Mintoff/MLP ever got – handouts from Gaddafi and scrapped power stations and telephone exchanges.
