This must be a bad day for any man called Edward Spiteri
Exactly why did he report this to the police? Wouldn’t it have been more sensible to let those 160 or 110 euros go? It’s not as though he’s going to get them back, and even if he did, surely it isn’t wertit?

Prostitute ‘ran off with client’s cash’
by Matthew Xuereb
A prostitute admitted to stealing €110 from a client during an argument over whether he should wear a condom, a police inspector told a court yesterday.
Elaine Muscat told the police she took the cash from her client’s car and ran away.
Inspector Tony Cachia said that on May 30, Edward Spiteri filed a police report that cash had gone missing from his glove compartment.
He said he happened to be driving through Testaferrata Street in Gżira at around 2am when he saw Ms Muscat signalling him to stop.
He stopped to see if she needed anything and she asked him if he wanted to have sex with her for €20. He accepted and the couple went to the Msida Yacht Marina.
According to Mr Spiteri, the couple got out of the car, sat on a bench and talked until she told him she had forgotten something in the car and vanished. He later found about €160 missing from the glove compartment.
But Ms Muscat, who is serving time in prison and was one of the witnesses in the case against the late Josette Bickle over drug trafficking in jail, gave a different version of events.
Mr Spiteri, she said, had approached her for sex and they went to Sliema together in his car.
However, they got into an argument because he did not want to wear a condom.
As he was removing his trousers, he took a stash of cash out of his pocket and put them in the car’s ashtray.
They were still arguing when she grabbed the cash and ran out of the car. She told the police the amount she took was €110 and not €160.
The case, before Magistrate Edwina Grima, continues.

Il-principju importanti Daph! :P
This man is unlucky like the famous Charlon Gouder.
Embarassing.
But no wonder Testaferrata Street is always in traffic jam :)
My thoughts exactly. According to GO’s online directory at least 4 people must getting loads of stick from their friends, colleagues, partners, etc…
It is all a question of values.
I wonder if she is the same tall lady who stole a wallet in Albert Town.
“He stopped to see if she needed anything and she asked him if he wanted to have sex with her for €20. He accepted…” Such a gentleman.
Such a good Samaritan, you mean.
Probably a PN voter. How can they think when they have nothing to think with?
James Tyrell – what a stupid remark which has no bearing whatsoever on this post, showing rather that it’s YOU that clearly has ‘nothing to think with’.
How’s the weather in Antrim or Gozo or wherever the hell you happen to be annoying people right now?
Those €160 he ‘lost’ are going to cost him a fortune and damage his integrity. He should have accepted it as an expensive lesson and moved on in life.
Gouder, all over, again.
So now I suppose the jury will now be asked to decide whether 110 Euro was a fair price to charge for the incomplete services rendered.
Just when I thought I would not be surprised by the stupidity of certain people, someone like this comes along.
What a hoot. If Mario Gerada had pulled that stunt and set a precedent, we’d have a shedload of happy punters.
eh, hundred sixty euros mhux nejk ta!
Somehow, I find HER version more plausible, otherwise how on earth would she have known that there was a stash of cash in the glove compartment?
