Anglu is a DISASTER

If I were Joseph Muscat I would be stabbing myself in the chest with one of Michelle’s hat pins.
Do you think he even GETS those ‘on d rekort’ jibes?

Nearly fell of my chair when Simon told him ‘On D Rekort’.
And what about when Simon asked him if he agrees with the tourism record numbers: U melaaa!! Naqbel mela..
God help us all.
He got the one of the ‘interrogazzjoni’ though.
I’m sure he was coached to duck those inevitable jibes.
And what was the comment about reducing the electricity rates only? Are they not going to lower the water tariffs?
Because they will reduce the electricity tariffs and then cut the water supply..so there will be no need to lower the water tariffs

That was after Carmel Cacopardo revealed that ground water prices will have to increase by 2016 because of some EU directive.

But, I should be relieved, u iiiiiiivvvvvvaaaaaaaaa, of course they’re not going to change the new tax bands.
“Normal” people with some insight would cringe at Anglu’s performance tonight.
With his fake and nervous smile he thinks he is performing fine but, my god, how far he is from reality.
Two more months of this and normality should be restored after the 9th of March.
I was actually wondering if there was any need for Simon to go on that show today. Anglu would still have managed to make an ass of himself.
Did you get a deja vu of when he was interrogating you at the police HQ (not so many years ago) when he asked Simon to look at him like he was interrogating him? Simon’s reaction was priceless.
I cannot believe how hopeless he is. It’s frightening.
Following the ‘debate’ up here on the live stream. Looks like the ‘Elephant Man’ has his trunk up his ass and has blown himself to bits.
The Tusk Force is no more.
Simon is doing very well, could do better in some cases as he seems too nice to answer back.
If Anglu wants people to take him seriously he should start by wiping that silly smile off his face, and then maybe continue by stringing a coherent sentence together.
But there you have it – that’s Labour, thinking that running a country is as easy as playing a game of Snakes and Ladders with a 6-year old.
They continue to come across as a bunch of people with absolutely no idea what to do once they come into power.
They just want the power, and what happens then is as irrelevant to them as Frankie Tabone is to the rest of us.
Saying that he is a disaster is an understatement to say the least.
Who in his right mind would even think of allowing this idiot to run the country.

The new jibe: “hemm procedura”
Sejjahtli? Hares lejja u kellimni. Sejjahtli?
Can anyone tell me how many questions Peppi asked and Anglu answered in a clear and concise manner?
I am under the impression that the answer is none.
No, not none. Come on! I’m sure he managed zero, at the very least.
When is Anglu going to pull out another graph?
Super One TV last night spent around three hours annihilating Xarabank, Simon Busuttil and Peppi Azzopardi.
They even suggested three moderators instead of Peppi for the debate.
Today, Labour’s parliamentarians appear on Xarabank spots praising the programme.
Anglu is a disaster. So true. But neither did Simon excel that much … What a bore.
[Daphne – No, he’s really good.]
I have to agree with the POTUS here.
Ut nobis parcas, te rogamus, audi nos.
spare us from whom? Answer: from both
Haven’t got a clue what you just said. What’s your point? Latin!? Please!
I’m confused. I am going to have nightmares tonight for sure. Bogota’, Zambia, living wage, dawl u ilma umbaghad minimum wage…..ma nafx.
Anglu cannot debate and he is definitely not the brightest bulb in the PL. His incompetence overrates Simon Busuttil (who did not impress at all during Bondi+).
After tonight, I know how they are going to reduce our electricity and water are bills.
They are going to give each household a mobile generator.
“Aqbadli l-generatur, ha niehu banju, Qalbi”
I don’t know why Peppi bothered asking Anglu any questions since he got no clear answers.
Prosit Simon. x*knockout tajtu.
Anglu was completely off the record, poor fellow. A complete disaster.
Tucks was a non-starter, but Simon was very bland.
And what’s the living wage? Anglu seemed lost for words and started mixing up things.
Simon was coherent and simply great.
If I understood Anglu Farrugia correctly, he said that Labour will only reduce the electricity bills and not those relating to water consumption.
I would be grateful if someone confirms whether I heard him right.
There’s a difference between ‘will not’ and ‘cannot promise’, la qed nitħadtu fuq avukati.
Let’s get a few things out of the way first: Anglu is a prize idiot. I mean he really, really, is incredibly stupid.
Now for the technical bits, which he or his party obviously don’t understand.
The government is having to bail out Water Services Corporation because – wait for it – water tarifs are at below market prices, so WSC is obviously making a loss. It has to pay for the electricity it uses, just like you and me and Anglu. And its only revenue comes from metered water bills.
By reducing electricity tarifs, i.e. subsidising them, the government will only be using up more public money. If water tarifs are also reduced, WSC’s revenue will dry up to a trickle. And the government will have to increase its subsidy.
I’ve been harping on about the evils of subsidies even since I got my first pubic hair. In three months, the cycle which PN is (slowly) trying to break will be back again, larger, heavier, and more expensive than before. And how do you fund subsidies? Why, by increasing government revenue, of course. And where does government revenue come from? That’s right: taxation.
To recap: lower utility tarifs = higher taxes.
Those tarifs must go UP, not down. Of course the European Commission bears out this view, but who’s listening? Not Anglu.
I like Simon. Ever since he appeared on tv to discuss what EU membership is all about, he showed all those pretenders what he is really made of.
Simon did not mince words when he declared what he voted for in the referendum for divorce, nor did he seek sympathy from us viewers.
He exposed to reality facts, that while he showed us the scars of personal problems in marriages, he supported those who seek a new life. Well done, Simon.
Anglu Farrugia was all over the place, but Simon remained focused and totally in control of the situation.
I find it difficult to do any analysis of what Anglu was trying to do throughout the programme.
I could only detect a series of absurd mistakes (VAT), absence of ideas (the justice system), incoherent thoughts (making the economy grow, the minimum and living wages) and half-baked proposals (water tariffs).
Anglu is a DISASTER. Labour is a DISASTER.
