  1. Jozef says:

The financial services sector in Malta faced a conundrum when Callisto Tanzi, notorious for Parmalat financial meltdown, the largest ever scandal running into billions, parked his yacht next to Gozo.

The island was swarming with Italy’s Guardia di Finanza.

Sant’s Svizzera fil-Meditterran would have made us a rogue state.

    Idiots.

  2. Toni says:

Qed tarawh lil messija jispjega l-parabboli fuq ONE TV :)

  3. Jozef says:

I expect new air routes to wherever it is il-guy’s cruise ships set off, money making or not.

  4. Riya says:

Dawn kienu, ghadhom u jibqghu nies bla dinjita’ ghax qatt ma’ hasbu ghall- pajjiz u ghall-poplu izda hasbu dejjem ghall-buthom. Kollha kemm huma.

I was just watching the mass rally organised by the PL at the Valletta water front. I could not help but note the absence of the party emblem in the midst of all this. Apparently labour want us to forget their past and forget all the bad things associated with it.

  6. Grezz says:

I think you should read this:

“At no time during his 30-minute address did Dr Muscat refer to the Labour Party by name, extolling instead a sense of nationhood by urging his supporters to look ahead towards “a better Malta”.” ( http://www.timesofmalta.com/articles/view/20130107/local/pl-beams-its-message-across-grand-harbour.452356 )

    • La Redoute says:

“PL beams its message across grand harbour”?

For a party championing the cause of the destitute and disposessed they’ve certainly got alot of moolah to throw around.

      • Grezz says:

Do you mean the desitute seen on television filming their leader with their smartphones during this evening’s “mass rally” at The Waterfront?

  7. just me says:

Muscat had promised he would give out the “beef” rearding the water and electricity bills today 7th January.

But we are still waiting for him to tell us.

How, when and by how much will the bills be lowered?

  8. Likki says:

as reported by Timeofmalta.com covering this evening’s rally: “At no time during his 30-minute address did Dr Muscat refer to the Labour Party by name”. That sums up my first day of campaigning, full of Labour gimmicks from the very start.

Now Karmenu Vella is going into lengths to explain Labour’s slogan. Feels like Anglu Farrugia explaining the living wage.

  9. David S says:

Did you watch the clip screened at the end of the waterfront rally? It was some sort of re enactment in 1945 during the war when Malta was a colony.

    What the fxxx?

Hawwadni ha nifmek. Can someone please explain the parable…or whatever the message it was meant to deliver.

    • Grezz says:

Probably no message whatsoever. I think that everything that was said and done this evening at the waterfront was a collective effort in diversionary tactics – Muscat got away with not mentioning the word “Labour” once, let alone letting us in on his plans for the future of our country.

  10. Min Weber says:

    Muscat: ‘Do not fear change’

or should it be http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=loHFIyOFEH0 ?

  11. Riya says:

Partit gdid u progressiv u lahqu vici kap ixjah milli kellhom.

Ahjar minn hekk, dwar il-politika ma jafx jitkellem ghax ma jaf xejn.

Anzi qal erba’ kelmiet dwar l-Airmalta imma imissu jghid ukoll kemm dahhal nies Laburisti u nkompetenti ma’ l-Airmalta u kemm qala flus mill-Airmalta jekk hu onest.

    • maryanne says:

Louis Grech, the typical socialist. He preaches socialism and lives like a capitalist.

Just look at the triumvirate – Joseph, Louis and Toni. They have one thing in common. They all struggle to pay their electricity bills.

  12. Riya says:

Dan fuq kollox ma kien imexxi xejn l-Airmalta ghax l-Airmalta kienet titmexxa mill- General Workers Union u b’hekk falliet.

Louis Grech dan jafu kollu u jekk irid ikun kredibbli u onest mal-poplu Malti ghandhu d-dover li issa fil-posizzjoni li kiseb jghid il-verita.

  13. francesco says:

    Welcome back Daphne.

    Dear Louis,

Where charm, elegance and class are concerned you were on top. You will never reach that position again.

  14. old-timer says:

Louis has been picked up temporarily to fill the important vacant post of deputy leader and he will “decide to retain his lucrative MEP post after the election”. Muscat, if he wins will not need Louis any more – aim achieved – if he loses, well back to Brussels.
