“Mainstream Ewropeja” – yes, by breaking EU laws, bypassing regulations and ignoring procedure

Listen to this video all the way through (like Labour’s policy programme, it’s very brief). At the close of Muscat’s ‘inauguration speech’ he says that he wants to make the Malta Labour Party like the European mainstream.

Fast forward four and a half years, and he’s trying to win a general election by promising to break EU law, bypass regulations and ignore procedure to get a power station we don’t need up and running in two years.

    He certainly looks very smugly happy with himself – especially ascending the (quite few, in fact, nothing like the ones at Castille) steps of the main entrance to the Centru and opening the doors of his office as the new leader.

    Both to the background of rousing music. The lady by his side does look undeniably pretty indeed.
