Turning idealistic politics into charlatanism

The Moviment Gdid’s campaign reminds me of the typical American promotion for a penis enlargement product or an abdominal toning gadget.
Buy, apply and a magical world of opportunities awaits you, including that promotion you’ve been waiting for – though the consequences of choosing Dr. Muscat’s Movement will be worse than just losing a few dollars.
Dr. Muscat seems to have finally accomplished what Alfred Sant had set out to do: turning idealistic politics into charlatanism. Combine it with Mintoffianism and you’ve got one dangerous mix.

Just when we thought they could not get any worse than Alfred Sant… they did.
Take Alfred Sant, remove any good he as as a politician and you are left with Joseph Muscat.

Yes, fine, but I would have expected our Dottori lawyers, all experts fil-Ligi, to defend the constitutional rule which says that the electorate has the right to know what’s in an electoral programme.
Joseph Muscat will not reveal the names of these private investors who have pledged their support because, says he, that is commercially sensitive information.
It would be if he were running a business concern, which he thinks he is. But he isn’t. He’s running a political party standing for election.
But why do I bother? Our lawyers only care about law, not justice or rights.
My friend, our ‘lawyers’ only care about themselves. As does little Joey.
