While Joseph Muscat was telling us to vote No because we would drown in a sea of Sicilian hairdressers

I listened to this and it was almost drowned out by the sound in my mind of Joseph Muscat screaming at and heckling Eddie Fenech Adami in a televised press conference, telling him that he would bring Malta to ruination with his hard-headed obsession about EU membership.

The PN should find a few clips of Made in Brussels and other “contributions” by Joseph Muscat and put them up on Youtube.
[Daphne – Impossible, as those were Super One productions and they’ve all been destroyed as a prelude to the rewriting of his personal history.]
The Broadcasting Authority keeps copies of all political programmes, if I am not mistaken.
PN should obviously have recorded such material. Why is there Informa as the so called media library?
[Daphne – Who could have foreseen that the Labour Party would make a Super One propagandist its leader? I don’t think anyone is recording Charlon Gouder’s shows. But perhaps they had better do so, because at this rate Charlon Gouder might well be prime minister in 2023.]
My thoughts exactly, Antoine. And Daphne I am pretty sure you could find those clips elsewhere at Net or TVM, when he used to constantly heckle his newly found “hero” Eddie.
It wouldn´t be too difficult – albeit tedious – to trawl through the official clips on the European Parliament website.
I think Daphne is right, no sign of Joseph’s past videos. I bumped into this , which is relevant.
There he is surrounded by the same dinosaurs!

I will continue to search for the needle in a haystack!
Anyone care to write an alternate history novella where the EU membership referendum is defeated? I’m curious to know how Joseph Muscat’s life would have turned out.
What an amazing campaign IVA was. I got the shivers watching that video again.
Labour is always at the wrong end of Malta’s destiny. George Borg Olivier worked tirelessly against all odds to achieve independence, against Dom Mintoff who wanted integration; while Eddie Fenech Adami obtaining EU membership against Alfred Sant and his poodle Joseph Muscat.
Yes PN, Partit Glorjuz, which achieved so much for this country, always electing great leaders.
Of course some mistakes were made on the way. But look at the bigger picture. This country has been transformed in the past 25 years.
Even in this economic crisis PN got it right, not going for extreme austerity measures, but a balancing act, which did increase Malta’s debt but obtaining the best result.
On the one extreme you had Gordon Brown, going for double-digit deficits to stimulate the economy, and now they can’t bring down the deficit.
On the other, Greece, Spain, Portugal and Italy (Monti) went for shock austerity and all economists are now agreeing that they went too far too quickly, with severe recession and unemployment levels in all these countries.
I love this song. It reminds me when the real positive “bidla” occurred for Malta. I can’t imagine where we would be today if we had not joined the EU.
Fakkritni f’hafna memorji sbieh din is-diska! Gheziez Maltin, ivvutaw b’mohkom biex ma nfarkux dak li nbena u li hu tajjeb.
Well watching this video above certainly brings us very good memories.
However the difference between those days and today is that the Nationalist Party has no real goal and the way Joseph Muscat has painted everything blue makes idiots think they are another version of the PN, as the prime minister rightly reminded us yesterday.
So unless the switchers get their hand bitten they are prepared to cut off their balls and vote Labour.
Time will tell however I think at this stage there is little I think we can do bar brace ourselves for the worst and vote PN. Maybe a miracle will happen.
This song reminds me of Hope. Such a nice feeling.
