Toni and Joseph took the law into their own hands

Published: February 20, 2013 at 7:10pm

This afternoon Joseph Muscat told The Times that the reason the Labour Party did not report to the police the matter of drug-dealing at a party club (oh, so now it isn’t frozen water) is that “there was no evidence” (because they made sure there wasn’t by throwing it away) and because the club president who saw what was going on “refused to testify”.

The reporter from The Times pointed out that it wasn’t up to him or Toni Abela to decide these things, that it was up to the police – that they should have reported the matter and let the police decide there was no case, because it was not within their remit to do so themselves.

Watch the video in the link below, and take note of the furrow coming and going.

At this point, Joseph Muscat doesn’t know whether he’s coming or going…. Hopefully, going.

  2. Jozef says:

Let’s have the president’s written declaration, Toni should have it somewhere in his vetrina.

Vote this guy and all we’ll get is procrastination. Come to think of it, what does having twenty priorities mean?

That’s usually when I don’t feel like anything.

    • bystander says:

I think you might be right.

His goal is not to achieve his plan when in office.

The goal is to get elected. Full stop. That’s it.

What a true f..king w**ker our Fearless Leader is.

  4. maryanne says:

It is interesting that Toni Abela is nowhere to be seen on television. Labour is sending Zammit Lewis and Chris Cardona.

Since Austin Gatt gave the press conference Manuel Mallia is nowhere to be seen as well.

    • Neil Dent says:

And Cardona was a total flop, a zero in the debate with Beppe Fenech Adami this morning. Who’s next up to bat Joseph?

      • ciccio says:

Cardona is worthless. He is another Doctor from the Super One stable of Joseph Muscat, Charlon Gouder, Simone Cini…

      • Jozef says:

I got a message from Chris Cardona telling me he was on TVhemm later that evening.

        Xi dwejjaq. Moviment, tindahalx.

      • ciccio says:

        Jozef, you are right.

Can you imagine how this Moviment will be in government?

They will probably start sending us detailed accounts from Castille directly on our mobiles about the whereabouts of the Great Leader, his great achievements of the day, which roadmap proposals have been completed and which ones cannot be delivered, with whom he had photos, to whom he sent greetings, what things he looked at during the day, what his wife cooked for dinner…A bit like the Korean Central News Agency in the privacy of our life. Jaqq.

Am I correct to assume that drug trafficking is legal now as long as it’s done at a Labour Party club?

  7. ron says:

Since the day Austin Gatt challenged Malta Today’s credibility the attacks on him stopped. A coincidence?

The French had a guiliotine to take heads off.

Joseph gone for a change in tactics, he is sending them into solitary confinement, one by one.

Conrad is still in the quicksands while Joseph tries to work himself out of an ICE BLOCK (+:)

  9. AE says:

Every time he opens his mouth on this, it gets worse and worse. Doesn’t he realise that it was not up to him to determine whether there was sufficient proof? Doesn’t he realise that he is not the police? not to mention the fact that Toni Abela said he had concrete proof.

As for Toni Abela, saying that he used his discretion is absolute rubbish – what right did he have to use his discretion? By trying to keep this “in-house” they effectively scuttled the possibility of there being a proper investigation.

His clear intention was to protect the Labour Party – nothing else. So the Labour Party before justice, before the safety of our children, before our country. Their sense of priority is appalling.

And we are about to entrust the administration of our country to these jokers. It is not about the good of the country, but the good of Labour and in the case of Joseph, what is good for Joseph in his ambition to become Prime Minister.

I am nearly convinced that even courting and marrying Michelle was part of his strategy to get to the top of the Labour Party as she was Sant’s PA. Let’s hope that like Macbeth his ambition is over-vaulting and that he will land on the other side without pulling us down with him.

  10. Libertas says:

Of course no one talks. That’s the great attitude they have in these supposed centres of progressive and moderate political formation!

The Police is the public and independent institution to investigate.

What’s more, the Police can produce anyone in Court as a witness who will be obliged to testify and is exempted only if they incriminate themselves.

Actually, there is a very simple reason for not reporting the incident to the police.

The blokka silg would have melted by the time Toni arrived at police heaquarters from Hal Safi.

They live in a state within a state, break all the rules, be it legal or ethical, say and do anything you like with impunity, rob steal and borrow without obligations and never comply with regulations. Let fines and expenses accumulate without worry, everything will be settled from state funds after the 9th of March.
