Happy Easter

Taste April 2013 cover

A happy Easter Sunday to you all, and have a wonderful lunch.

Let the children eat as many chocolate eggs as they want to, because if they try doing that in 10 years’ time, everyone’s going to be glaring at them and talking about carbs.

Remember to pick up your copy of Flair with The Malta Independent today, and meanwhile, we’re hard at work on Taste (this is our cover) which is out today week, 7 April.

And don’t forget the Fondazzjoni Patrimonju Malti jewellery exhibition at the Casino Maltese in Valletta. It opened yesterday evening and it’s absolutely beautiful.

It wasn’t easy to get a close look at it all on opening night, so I shall have to go again. The catalogue is exceptional.

A very happy Easter to you too. Great quip about the children eating chocolate eggs. I wondered today about carb counts in figolli and Easter eggs but, then again, it’s Easter. What the “hack”?

A very happy Easter to all your readers too. We need each other in these insane times.

    http://www.timesofmalta.com/articles/view/20130401/local/old-buses-drivers-to-return.463644

Another MLP pre-election promise which was kept hidden from the electorate. The MLP really scraped the bottom of the barrel promising everything to everybody to get elected.

Will damages/compensation be paid to Arriva for arbitrary termination of contract ? What about the Arriva employees ?

So we are going to suffer the return of the exhaust belching old buses with their swearing, shortchanging “casually” dressed drivers (just ask tourists and studennts).

What about government compensation running into millions of euro paid to the “old” drivers ? Will it be refunded ?

The Times must be over the moon given its negative campaign against Arriva from day one when contract was awarded.

    • Sowerberry says:

Looks like the Times’ idea of a 1st April spoof news item.

What next a kit-off glam pic on Page 3 ?

  46. Candida says:

Better late than never – Bouna Pasquetta, dear Daphne, and thank you for the brilliant work you produce.

Taste is magnificent, a unique publication, there’s no other publication up to it produced here in Malta.

Flair is a superb publication too. It’s a state of the art magazine; both are undeniably the best produced and of the very highest standards.

Your blog is the best too, your writing is history in the making, and your opinions are based on facts, good knowledge, intelligent assesments and truth.

Veru prosit and keep it up.

May God Bless you and all your loved ones.

    http://www.maltatoday.com.mt/en/newsdetails/news/national/Farrugia-apologizes-to-media-wife-fulfilling-voluntary-role-at-ministry-20130401

Godfrey Farrugia and Marlene Farrugia are not married to each other. Farrugia is Marlene’s MAIDEN name. It’s a coincidence, that’s all. They live together, but they’re not married.

  50. TinaB says:

A couple of days too late but I still want to wish you, Daphne, your loved ones and the contributors on your blog a happy Easter.

Thank you and keep up the good work.
