It’s customary to look at the person whose hand you’re shaking, Joseph

He lets them take his hand while his eyes have moved on already or look past them – yes, even with that disabled child who has probably been practising what to do.

I don’t think it’s only Alfred Sant who recoils at being touched by strangers.

    Joseph: ma jaghmilx wahda tajba.

Manners are not Muscat’s strong point and apparently his table manners are quite appalling too.

He tries hard to be taken for your up and coming middle class person, but it’s these things which give him away.

    Everyone at arm’s length.

And these little things do say a lot about the person. It’s obviously all being done for appearances sake and he’s not even getting his acting right.

  5. Peter Frendo says:

    His general demeanour is awful.

    His Maltese verges on Arabic.

His English… let’s not go there.

WTF does he offer? Pastizz ‘ferst’ class jahasra.

I find it odd that Labour would put forward a leader who manages to be more socially awkward with people than I am.

In the last photo, he looks offended. He probably thought the drawing on the wall, of Justin Bieber, was how he would look like if he had any hair on his head.

Joseph seemed to have also made acquaintances with a movie character from Batman.

Glenn Bedingfield’s comments here http://daphnecaruanagalizia.com/2013/02/oh-lordy-lord/ (“Hawn wahda mara trid tiehodlok b’idejk. Tmissek naqa’ wahda u mmorru.”) are so very telling of their general attitude and ignorance.
