Make up your mind, Labour

The man who was Prime Minister Sant’s Minister of Education almost two decades ago, and who has been reincarnated in the exact same role by Prime Minister Muscat, is all over the news, banging on about how he found a hofra in the finances of the Foundation for Tomorrow’s Schools, the organisation which is responsible for building new schools and decommissioning older ones.

He’s even said that there is no money for new schools because the loan has been swallowed up, the interest is difficult to meet, blah blah blah.

But guess what? Instead of demanding the resignation of the foundation’s chairman because of the mess the Education Minister claims he found, Prime Minister Muscat has made him chairman of Air Malta.

Presumably, if he was such a rotten chair for the Foundation for Tomorrow’s Schools, putting a hole in its finances and all that, Muscat would not have put Ray Fenech in charge of the national airline.

Is this Evarist Bartolo’s devious way of saying that he doesn’t approve of Muscat’s choice of Air Malta chairman? Possibly. Either that, or Labour’s right hand doesn’t know what its left is doing.

As usual.

Forget left or right they don’t have a damn clue either way. A bunch of presumptuous peasants.

Precisely what I thought when I read both releases.

Don’t try to understand what’s going on – they don’t know wether they’re coming or going.

And where’s Emperor Joseph? He’s nowhere to be seen, he’s conspicuous by his absence.

Looks like we’re running on auto-pilot.

Read Lino Spiteri in The Times today and you’ll get some kind of an explanation.

The man is also claiming that the press is treating Labour badly. So much for his pretence at being neutral by occasionally being objective.

The PN press should ignore him altogether and stop quoting him.

How can somebody who served in the ministerial cabinets of Mintoff, KMB and Sant ever be neutral, or even objective?
