Yes, Jose, we know it was discussed with the prime minister

The PS for Culture, Jose Herrera, told the assembled press this morning that Jason Micallef’s appointment as chairman of Valletta 2018 had been discussed with the prime minister.
Yes, we know that, Jose. We know it was discussed because the Office of the Prime Minister denied, a couple of weeks ago, that he would be appointed to the post.
The question being put to you was not whether the matter was discussed with the PM but whether the PM agreed to it after it had been discussed.
I’m assuming that if the PM had agreed, and if he thought it was a really good idea, then you would have said as much.

Makes me think this is a trailer from MATRIX.
Karnivalletta 2018.
Jason the King of Karnivalletta 2018.
Yes, Jose, we know the appointment was not unilateral. Jason must have said yes to your offer.

Malta Today’s photo of Jason on your link always gets me.
I know the name on the board is ‘CLINT on LINE’ , but it does look something else, and very appropriate.
I wonder if ONLY Jason Micallef was promised this position. My whistle blower tells me different.
Closer to home, I wonder if ONLY Manuel Mallia was promised the justice portfolio.
To me it seems that Jose wanted to get back at Muscat for not giving him the Justice Ministry, as he was promised before and during the campaign.
Muscat got rid of Micallef when he did away with the Secretary General role at the MLP. Jose is pissed off for not getting Justice; he even refused to shake hands with Muscat on the day of the swearing in, the only one of them who did that.
Now he gets back at Muscat by placing Micallef in this role and Muscat cannot do anything about it because he does not want to give the impression that there is an interior strife going on (which is evident and it exists between him, Micallef and Jose).
While on the subject of Jose – he was just on the panel of TVHemm talking about the new service of live streaming of Local Council meetings. He referred to the service as line-streaming, stream-lining and screening. So very eloquent.
When was it discussed before or after the announcement?
Let’s include “during” also in your question. That should cover us for all the possibilities.
Has anyone noticed it’s already -58?
Time’s flying with all the interesting stories hitting the news lately!
Diga kullhadd qed jaghmel ta’ rasu wara 50 gurnata ahseb u ara x’se jigri matul il-hames snin li gejjin!
This is Jose’s version of “Hu go fik!”
He feels that he should have been given the Justice Ministry. When the Prime Minister offered him the post of PS he could have either sworn at him, as he had notoriously done to Gonzi in Parliament, or accept the post and use it as best as possible with some tricks up his sleeve.
Appointing Jason as Chairman when Muscat clearly ha told him not to was his first renegade action.
You forgot to mention that Charlon Gouder is Jose’s PRO.

They never saw eye to eye, as soon as Joseph was elected MLP leader, Jose’ withdrew his candidature for deputy leader.
Semantics, Jose, semantics.

This only confirms our suspicions!
Make him chairman of road embellishing projects …but then Jason ‘tal-fjuri’ will put up some one hundred political billboards around the islands.
My curiosity is why Jason was not one of the first to be given appointment. He seems to have been forgotten.
Can anyone shed some light as to what exactly triggered the rift between Muscat and Jason? They were so bosom buddies.
Bonsai the Bastions 2018 . . . how in!
