Feeding sharks is an appallingly bad idea. What you need with sharks is a harpoon.
I think this is disgusting. Why was the hunters’ lobby group paid for ‘advice’ that it shouldn’t have been giving the government, if it gave any advice at all?
The hunters’ association is a lobby group, for heaven’s sake. It’s there to LOBBY the government for what it wants. It shouldn’t be paid by the person/government getting lobbied. It should be paid by the person/s on whose behalf it is lobbying.
I have a very definite hard-line policy on sharks: don’t feed them; use a harpoon.
I feel the same way about mangy lions. If they’re about to maul you to death, don’t chuck them a steak and hope they’ll be satisfied with that. Bring out your gun and shoot them.
It’s a sentiment the FKNK will understand.

These funds were given to FKNK in 2012, so unfortunately it was the other government. And in this I agree with Evarist Saliba above: appeasement did not stop Hitler, nor did it stop the hunters voting Labour.
So that is one of the mistakes that PN made, trying to appease the hunters and also Astrid’s FAA.
